I think people hate on it too much by focusing on how the story is very typical & the characters are genetic. The animation was AMAZING for the time. I hate seeing critics trash on that when that isnt fair considering its year of release. Of course it looks weird in todays standards. I LOVED this movie as a kid & still do to this day. Even with the stereotypical plot & characters.
@@MemoirsofaBasketcase the had a full cgi trex for a scene and the fellowship of the ring had all kinds of cgi from Weta studios that movies cave troll was the same monster as in superman Dawn Of Justice
@@DrTopLiftDPT Again, A FULL-LENGTH CGI movie with talking characters and FLOWING WATER in 1999-2000, not just one or two scenes. Jurassic Park’s TRex was a physical set. I don’t think you can appreciate how much of an accomplishment this was back then. Looks terrible in 2022, but in 2000 this was a theater experience.
Always loved bruton, he was a real warrior, he accepted his fate with being left behind due to injuries, saw his wrong ways when alladar showed him kindness and fought his hardest to save the rest he was clearly stronger than kron and alladar, he could've beaten a carno alone, unlike the others, and he died a hero.
He redeemed himself before his death. He found Hope to carry on until to the endwhen the Little Lady Monkey advice him but unfortunately his time is now waving at him back. If only Destiny let him live, I'm sure he will be a good friend and uncle to Aladdar and Neera.
The amount of people I know that don’t remember this movie when it’s a core childhood memory of mine is crazy. One of my absolute favorites!! I even remember when they showed the opening scene in other VHS films’ previews around that time. Man those were the days.

It still surprises me even all these years later just how real these dinosaurs look! Especially the part when one of them sticks their head through the water and seeing the detail to the water trickling down his face and how really the water looks, amazing.... this even looks better than alot of Marvel films or even just CGI films in general from now a day's. This movie is severely underrated in my opinion.
One thing to note in this scene: While we've scene the Carnotaurs before, Aladar hasn't. His very first encounter with them is an outright-demonic face slowly peeking through a veil of water only a few feet away.
One of my favorite movies, the animation was ahead of its time and the Carnotaurus was such a good choice to set the movie apart from other Dino media. I’ll always love the T Rex in movies though 🦖
Damn, throughout the entire film I felt sorry for Bruton the most, and when Kron died I didn’t feel sorry at all for Bruton to sacrifice himself to save the lives of other dinosaurs, and Kron didn’t care about the dinosaurs even if they died along the way from lack of water, so respect to Bruton, even though he was rude to Aladar and treated him unfriendly at first
This animation from 2000 is better than most animated films nowadays...Yet this movie was so underrated wtf? It's my favourite childhood movie...I saw it like 4 times in theatres and then got it on VHS. Good times.
It's kinda sad how Bruton goes down here. He has been fighting his whole life never to find sanctuary, which is crazy cuz he is buried under the rubble just a few steps from it. Absolutely brutal from Disney
My sister and me always used to play the game on the DVD where you gotta get out to or you get killed by a carno etc. We were always so scared because of the Carno animation 😂 still love the movie ❤️
Bro I was so fuckin scared of the Carnotauruses as a kid, especially on their first appearance in the movie. And the animations were really ahead of its time👍🏼👍🏼
I know the carnotaurus is scientifically inaccurate in this movie but holy shite did this scare me as a kid. Like that one frame of the carnotaurus sticking his head through the waterfall gave me nightmares as a kid. But I love this movie everything about it was so well done from the cgi to the soundtrack and the put my favorite dinosaur in this movie (pachyrhinosaurus) which was the first animated movie to do so I think.
The Brachiosaurus is too old for that. Also, her species went extinct millions of years before the asteroid strike, the producers should have made her a titanosaur.
They always make the ground shake with big carnivores but that's not case for an bull elephant walking. Also, they don't add the ground shaking for the big herbivores walking/running here.
