this audio-visual excellence has barely broken 30k views, while a farting squirrel (or anything by justin bieber - interchangeable really) shot in 240p will go beyond 30 million. and this is why earth desperately needs an extinction-level event or two.
something's not right if you put "thousands of hours" into a demo. also, I don't see how a demo can be any more of a failure than a conventional music video. the music video you have to film again if it fails, a demo you can reprogram.
The underwater effect is so damn good that I was 100% convinced it was all 3D meshes and voxels, maybe using a secret super-powered build that even now Smash was keeping up his sleeve and perhaps the upcoming reworked fields system would be when he finally revealed the secrets. Combining the huge amount of image/video post-fx functionality with the 3D that I was so focused on had made me completely miss what was even pretty much shown directly at one point in the demo. I'd just kind of assumed all that was for colour grading, warping and other mundane things you might do to polish a scene towards the end and had no concept of just how powerful it could actually be. Using the luminance of a 2D video to create depth that you'd swear had been recorded by the camera being the most recent to totally melt my brain. I'm sure one day the haphazard, borderline inept connecting of parameters and function nodes will produce a mind-blowing effect of my own but sadly so far I just end up confirming that I do not want to save the changes before I start a new project. It's surely only a matter of time though, then it'll just be a matter of knocking up some music....
Amazing post dude! I was just wondering myself how it was done. You will also come up with something awesome eventually. Just be sure to let me know then :)
This is stunning. The only downside is once the vocal started I wanted way more of that music, the song felt truncated and it's so beautiful. The graphics are incredible too.
Beautiful. Thanks for the amazing work. I ran this demo on my computer as well and it is absolutely beautiful. MP4 compression does not do this justice.
holy...shit, respect.....but I need to ask: have you ever seen any of forgottenlanguages' vids? This is fuc.kin.g weird but I can see some...similarities...this is something interesting.
Aaaah so it's real-time. We've done some live video capture to computer vision to onstage projection. We've also been streaming from Optitrack into Unity. I'll have a look to see if that would work. God I wish we'd bought a Hippo rig rather than building our own, twice.
Myślę, że Beksiński byłby pod wrażeniem. Jestem zdumiony jak oddaliście ducha jego obrazów. Brawo! www.google.pl/search?q=beksi%C5%84ski&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=653&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiLjarvrP3LAhUlGZoKHQ1RDO4QiR4IgQE&dpr=1
