@@brostenen You missed out if you weren't minding the demo scene in the 1990s, here's one of the classic examples from the 7MHz Amiga 500 demo vintage: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jziQBWQxvok.html Or, if you want something with more of a dance floor vibe, I got the impression that Fairlight/CNCD's Ziphead from 2015, may have been paying a bit of homage to this Spaceballs demo from 1992: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-89wq5EoXy-0.html
do you know if theres some archives somewhere on the internet, where i can see or download intros/demos :D i always knew this subculture existed.. but didnt pay that much attention after childhood to it.. but always looked cool.. probably one of the reasons i still pirate games, to see demos/intros in cracked installers ; ))) watched this hungarian doc about demoscene in Iron Curtain... really cool shit.. got interested into looking more into this stuff... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YUqn1OPxtmE.html Possibly one of the most interesting documentaries ive watched in years.... and a bit surprised as well... hungarians are also finno-ugric tribes like estonians.. why didnt we have c64 here in estonia, and no scene etc.. but became better IT country than hungary.. these guys were clearly next level , .. or maybe software was just so simplistic back in the day, kids are quick learners too haha.. ; ) )
I've missed this one! well deserved 1st prize! Nice programming and algorithm ideas here! also it's stylinsh at max!!! the music fits perfectly! congrats! #demosceneNeverDies
@@hermitgreenn Mmmm, have you used Notch? It's what was used to create this demo, the message is hidden in the "NOThing to see on this CHannel" opening portion, deliberately. I assure you, all of NOTCH, runs in realtime, all of the time.
Same as it always was. Besides, "Our intro runs better in realtime than on youtube."ーRazor1911 from Insert No Coins, 2010: www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=55991 I'd rather not contemplate all the bandwidth wasted on recordings of demos on youtube, that could have been spared by simply downloading the demos and running them realtime. RU-vid is *very* anti-scene.
he used a software called notch, i believe he either made it or was coded some part of it. and the thing is that this for me is impressing on just the monitor but pair this video with i think 3x 4k projector plus concert grade audio setup. Aka ASM 2019, like it just blew my mind away at how good and far software or even code can go.
Does that count as a Megademo again? For me - yes. The only downside I see over 2nd reality (or much of the conspiracy stuff, which is not as all-out as this) is it's less Immersion, like looking through a pane of glass. Which it is, I suppose.
