Ecci02 actually sort of- if we think back to Jack the Ripper, he stores knives all inside of his body, so it’s not entirely out of the question for DIO to cram a bunch of knives in his ass, especially considering jack was just a zombie but DIO is a vampire
@@dagan8659 He never actually mentions that, and while plausible, it isn't the explicit reason for his shades. It could easily be, and it's more likely that he's wearing them to cover his scars, since he never mentions otherwise. Of course, both can be true.

--> Close-range Stand. --> Has a range of 10 meters, while Star Platinum's is 2 meters. 10 meters is around the same size of a three-story building. That's a lot of range for such a powerful Stand.
@@lisboahmax range vs effective range. Star platinum could reach further away, but it’s strength diminishes the further it goes out. Kakyoin says the same of the world here. Also a lot of people sh-t on the same type of stand statement, but The World and Star Platinum really are the only stands of their kind in part 3. Of course part 4 and onwards most stands are humanoid that can punch good. But the world and star platinum were the only ones in part 3 to be like that. Humanoids were rare enough, but even the crusaders weren’t the same. Hierophant is weaker and shoots projectiles, Magicians red looks strong but mostly uses flames. Silver chariot uses its sword. So how similar star platinum and the world are really does stand (heh hahahaha) out initially compared to all the other ones.

That moment when you realize that if Joseph had taught everyone hamon: -Vanilla Ice wouldve been killed much easier - Kakyoins Emerald would have been too lethal for DIO to deflect - Polnareff's Rapier would have killed DIO when he impaled him
Well at least it seems that those from Joestar lineage are compatible so he could teach Jotaro but I dont think that Araki even thought about that since he get rid of Hamon use completely from the series
Hamon training takes several years to master (Even Jonathan, who is a genious, needed weeks to train and the final buff from Zeppeli to be able to confront Dio). They did not have that time when Holly was dying from her stand.
Masaki Fujita He's probably been alive long enough to learn tons of math and calculate it perfectly in his head at fractions of a second to deflect emerald splash perfectly then.
Most of the time he's been alive was spent living in a coffin under the sea. He was only around for three years after that. Pretty sure it would take more than three years to learn all that math to the point where you could calculate it in your mind in an instant. Dio's brain can't stop time

Energy Overdrive Sure, but I think the fight would be easier... Flashlight's reach is farther than 10 metres, not to mention Dio might think it's just regular flashlight and ignored it :P. Point it to his head at the first try and he's dead - unlike the pillarmen, vampires explode when exposed to UV.

painhellemental 9000 Again he had no time. The original plan was to get everything together, find exactly where DIO was hiding, and go and eliminate him. That's why Joseph and Avdol spent several years getting as much info on DIO as they could. Joseph also spent that time getting accustomed to his Stand and it's abilities. That's why once they get Jotaro out of the cell, they return to Holly's house to continue planning. Unfortunately, they were forced to make their move once Holly started dying, so they had to jump the gun on their own plan. Through all the countries they visited, they were on a strict timetable, and I doubt they'd be able to find a powerful enough UV floodlight in the countries they passed by. Now, the SPW definitely could've delivered UV lights to them with the numerous vehicles that they grant the Crusaders, but they decided to get more pertinent items, like food and supplies (Not like the vehicles they were given lasted long anyway).

What I love about the Emerald Splash ricochet is how it sounds like Mista's bullets bouncing around during the White Album fight. Father and son got in a few similar fights for sure.
Ok but there is one MAJOR plot hole in this scene I can't look past. How was Dio able to kill such a powerful character so easily and off screen no less? As we know, Senator Wilson Phillips graduated top of his class in high school and college and was captain of his college wrestling team! Even after he graduated, he was respected and revered. That’s how he became a politician! He has a villa on a thousand acres in Hawaii and he married a beautiful model who’s 25 years younger than himself! He even pays 50 times more in taxes than ordinary people! He's defeated every enemy that he's ever faced. He’ll eventually become president, because he's the Senator Phillips dammit! Meanwhile Dio is just some crusty old vampire. Just another example of Araki having a major character killed off just to make Dio seem stronger. Sad.
