In this video, the resistance of the diode has been explained.
The following topics have been discussed in this video.
1:52 DC or Static Resistance of the Diode
4:49 AC or Dynamic Resistance of the Diode
6:47 Derivation of the dynamic resistance
10:22 The average AC resistance of the diode
12:42 Summary
When the diode is conducting then it offers some finite resistance and the resistance offered by the diode depends on the type of input signal (AC or DC Signal)
DC or Static Resistance of the Diode:
When the DC voltage is applied to the diode, then the resistance that is offered by the diode is known as the DC or static resistance.
When the diode is forward biased then the resistance offered by the diode is known as the Forward DC Resistance and in the reversed bias condition it is known as the Reverse DC Resistance.
AC or Dynamic Resistance:
When the AC signal is applied to the diode then the resistance offered by the diode is known as the AC or dynamic resistance.
Average AC Resistance:
When the applied AC signal has very large voltage swing then the resistance of the diode is known as the Average AC Resistance.
This video will be helpful to everyone in understanding the diode resistance.
