How, how, how, how, how, how, does someone's voice NEVER CHANGE??? Dolly is an enigma. I mean that wholeheartedly. I just don't understand how her voice does what it does unless God is real, and He has infiltrated her voice for some reason. I had a vocal scholarship and I'm telling you those notes she hits are high and yet she's singing them in her lower chest register which is unheard of...at any age. People can always tell when someone hits high notes bc their register changes, but Dolly's doesn't. It's why we don't notice when Dolly hits high notes, but she's hitting them. Her voice is so flawless it's not natural. It really isn't and I find myself continually baffled by it.

I've been unemployed for seven months now. It's been a long and challenging search. I've been tempted to despair, wondering if God has forgotten His servant. Many of the exact phrases in this song have been my prayer for months now. God has used this song to renew my faith and encourage me today. May my river of tears turn to a river of peace, and may my faithful God be exalted!

Didn't know dolly had such a strong voice

My first time hearing this song by Dionne Warwick and Dolly Parton was earlier this month (May 2023). When suddenly, I notice them popped up while I was online. I said, let me see what the two of them are doing together, knowing it was music of some kind but didn't have any idea of just what. So I clicked on them and Oh My God! I could not stop listening to them singing this song, "Peace Like A River." I listened to it at least six times non-stop with tears flowing from my eyes. Their voices are so fitting for the part which they each sing. It is so beautiful and touching to my soul until every time I listen to the words and the melody of them singing this song I am overthrown by the spirit to the point where it causes me to break down with much tears and praises. This song truly fills my soul! It seems to me that this song is one of the best that I have ever heard and it touches my heart in such a way that it lifts my spirit to the extreme!! A way that I have never experienced!! I just want to say to Dolly and Dionne, "Thank You!" Your singing of this song really encourages my entire being! I honestly feel that you two together doing this song, the way you do, were only suppose to be done by no other!! Again, Thank You! Thank You! Hearing this song for the first time today and the lyrics brought tears to me. Now, in these dark and depressing times with so much evil and filth everywhere it's good to hear these positive and uplifting words. 'The peace of God surpasses all understanding and guards our hearts and minds as we live the Lord'... Phillipians 4:7. And Wow! Dolly's voice is still as powerful as it was when she was in her prime. She still hits the high notes, and her voice has no vocal wobble at all. She's the only female singer I've heard over the years whose voice hasn't changed with age. Surprised to see Dionne Warwick still trekking on. I thought she had retired. I've listened to her early music, and she used to be able to sing like a bird, even soprano, before she became a pop star in the 60s. Her voice isn't strong anymore but she's still my girl. Love them both.

Just watched a documentary on Dionne's life last Saturday night, it was amazing, she is such a beautiful soul and as for Miss Dolly ... I have no words worthy enough for her. I've been in awe of her talent's all my life. The way she handled tough questions in interviews down through the year's. That little body have a very high IQ that isn't fully appreciated.
