I just watched a set of videos about the Kursk battle...amazing and I think if I were there, I would not have survived. Your diorama is great. I like the field of oats or whatever it is.!
I'm not talking about Tigers and Pz.III... It's all about heavy battalion s.Pz.Abt.502. You can see clearly it's insignia (mammoth) on the green camouflaged Pz.III. After establishing and until the first half of 1943 Pz.III were used as part of heavy battalions and served as scout/infantry support vehicles. They has the same insignia as Tigers. s.Pz.Abt.502 was'nt participate in the operation Citadel, not in full, nor in parts. No Pz.III was sent to Kursk.
Great diorama and great choice of music - Two Steps From Hell is awesome! I also like how you showed two panzer IIIs but in different camos and with different armaments, as they kinda go together but have key differences. It really adds to the diorama!
The thought and expression of this diorama belies it's simplicity; Is it going "off off-road" because of danger up ahead? The soldiers are facing the same direction - what do they see? And the trampled grass signals uncharted territory...let the armor proceed first!!!
Thank you! I´m glad you like it, my friend! It can be compared, isn´t it? Two steps from hell and two Panzer IIIs heading towards hell :). And of course Two steps from hell is very nice!! Thank you again!
Thank you! You´re right...maybe I built them very fast ... I insisted not much in the dirt, my desire to have it finished made me not insisting much about it. thanks again for commenting! ;)
The big one Is from a hairy paintbrush cutted to size and the little one is from a kind of seaweed that is easily found on the beach.Thank you for your comment!
great diorama. Just one thing: s.Pz.Abt.502 never fought in the Battle of Kursk...They fought as a part of Army group North: Leningrad - Narva - Pskov - Dunaburg - Lithuania - East Prussia. By the 31st of July 1943 they only had 1 operational Panzer III (Model N), the rest are Tigers.
Hola Tony.
Thank you, Pete! The figures were so easy to paint cause they´re very well modeled. All of them are from Dragon, a very good model brand in my opinion.Except the three panzer commanders on the Ausf "L", from Verlinden (superb brand) and the other one panzer crew on the Ausf "N" from Tamiya..Very nice figures!Thank you again, my friend!
¡Gracias, Javi! Gracias otra vez ;)
+Adam murray Thank you very much for your kind words, Adam! There is a saying in my country that says "for liking, the colors" :) I don´t care about that... the nice coments like yours fill me sooo much more! ;) Thank you again, my friend! I appreciate
I would like to start modeling but which scale? The 1/48s are what i want but is there a difference with quality and which one like has more accsesorys ???
I think the difference is the space they occupy... Obviously the bigger the model, the more details they have, and I think that in 1/35 there are more accessories. It's your choice, my friend! :)) Thanks for watching the video! ;))
Thank you! :) The base is a plastic extruded plate , the ground,a mix of sand, water and white glue painted with Tamiya acrilyc paints . The foliage, the hairs of a large brush, hemp rope and seaweed. Hope to be helpful, thank you again :)
Thank you very much, Kim!I appreciate your comment a lot!one of the things I like about this hobby is to share our work. That's the way to evolve all of us in any meaning.Thank you again!! :)
Hiya love your diorama may I know how you flatten the long grass and how you clump them together and make them stand please? Would love to make 1 with long grass but sadly the grass usually fall flat after I glue them to the base :( Thanks
+ualuuanie ´Thank you, mate! Glad you like it! :) take small pinches of hair brush and e introdu in white glue, so it thickens, then applied on the surface in parallel, that they alone remain standing, until dry ;)
Tank Panzer III Ausf.
