Time to celebrate 250 Subscribers! and time for another Diorama Tour! this is another of my private collection, Jabba's Palace. 4ft long diorama built in 1998.
You are too kind! More to come! when we get to 300 subs Ill tour, the other dioramas, still have Wizard of Oz, Planet of the Apes, Matrix, Endor and Terminator 2
I remember I tried to make one of these in college, but I didn't have the money to buy many figures! I still have some though, I think I may try it again.
Cool diorama! I like how you built things to your liking and I can feel that you are not a toys collector, but a toys lover. Personally I prefer the vintage figures and I am not a fan of the new and many other things, but then I also put some new figures to my vintage ones, like oola the dancer which didn’t exist in vintage, but as you said, do it as you like and I think it looks great. Best thing to do with action figures is to play, but second best thing you can do with them is to build them a nice diorama or place them in some cool playset...last option: put them on acrylic stand and let them do nothing...what a waste! I like the bell on the front door...it was a kind of bell right? And it’s kind of the “Bell-Robot” in that scene...I think i will call that thing bell robot from now;). Great work! I enjoyed it:)
crazy you uploaded this video 5 years ago man i heard the i have 200+ subscribers nd i was like no way this video is too good then i went to go sub nd seen you’re almost to 2k right on man keep up the good work 🤘🏽
So great! Glad you like it! Let me know if you need any tips. I have a website www.jackorama.com with more pics and of course my Instagram @jackoramacom with other stuff when I build. Can’t wait to see what you create
Incredible work! Really captured the feel and look of the movie. Really want to see a video of your Matrix set, that looks great from the sneak peak in your Wizard of Oz clip. Ace!
not now and days lol i looked and lots are pretty pricey but i still want to get into it, as far as the horses most of the ones i saw seem to be way smaller scale to the 6 inch figures, am i looking at the right horses or are they all like that?
I'm working on mine as I watch this video and I must say yours looks awesome. I love how you didn't do perfect arch ways and everything looks rugged like the movie. Every other jabbas palace I have seen has perfectly straight arch ways and it drives me crazy.
Once again, amazing work. This is wonderful, despite any of your own critiques of your own work. Iwish I had this skill set. The bell for the door? GENIUS.
This is so awesome! I love the depth of each of your diorama's. It's one of those you find something new each time you look at it dioramas. I really do not understand why you do not have 20k subs yet. You do excellent work and I am entertained throughout. I love the voices and dialog too. Keep it coming!
DIY Capable thank you for the kind words and for watching the video. I guess I just need people to share the videos more and get them out there so I can get more subscribers. I need like 20 more to get to do another tour video. Just an FYI I also cohost a web series on RU-vid we're we talk about toys in case you like that sort of thing. RU-vid/ToyGeeksNetwork
This is really great man, good spatial layout for someone in their teens. I am working on a jabba diorama of myself and have been contemplating forever the layout. the rectangular nature of the area just doesn't display well. I have settled on a linear approach similar to what you did. I'm utilizing three of the new sets from Kenner. I'm going to simplify this display, just building a tiered base for the arches. the middle Arch will have jabba the left Arch Solo and the right Arch will be the entire band. Will be deconstructing these Kenner sets with a zipp wheel. Thanks for the post. Really want to do a Droid workshop but I don't see it happening. That's my favorite part of your display.
Your dios are just amazing. So glad that you're sharing your work like this on YT. You even got me to buy some LOTR figures after seeing your dio, ha. Can't wait for the next tour, homie.
landosmoothie ah! Great! Thank you so much for the words. More tours to come! I'll do another tour when I hit 300 subscribers. I also want to do a studio tour and then get into building. Help spread the word! Share!! Please.
All that sounds amazing, and you best believe I'll be watching. I'll try to give you a shoutout in my next vid, even though I don't have many subs, ha. Have a good one, Jack!
Ahahah it would be a dream! I built it back in 98 when I was 17. I would do so many new different things now. It would be a whole damn play set Ahahahah.
u should try & change the bulbs with L.E.D'S wouldn't want all that hard work or you're house to go up in flames, anyway very cool dio even though you were teen something its very nice work!!!!
Jackorama / l didn't mean any disrespect, just a idea & a compliment, l was actually amazed with your work know matter how old you were, l wouldn't mind your opinions on some of my dios & customs, even constructive criticism 😊
GALAXIE 67 no problem man, none taken. I do have to look into the lighting for new pieces, the only thing about using led for client work is that if the lights go out they would have to buy a new strip of lights and replace them and I'm not sure if they would be user friendly. If you have any light suggestions on what you think I should use I would love to see some amazon links jv@jackorama.com please?
I know they made him after i built this, they have made a bunch of new ones since then, I dream of rebuilding the whole thing but I wouldn't want to destroy this one its sentimental reasons.
So there used to bea guy on youtube his channel was jack of all trades amazing customs so just curious was that your channel you are gifted with the force my man ive done some customized figures but this is amazing art
l have a question maybe you can answer for me? l have watched alot of different vidieos on how to make different props & thay always show & then say for this scale or that scale, & ld like to try to make some for my dios, but l dont know what scale my stuff is??? so what scale would 3 3/4" to 4" figure scale be?? most of these vids are for 6" - 10" or small 1" -2" thank you for your time & help😊
GALAXIE 67 to be perfectly honest with you? I have no idea! Ahahah math and numbers confuse the hell out of me, my brain swells and I sweat! I build to proportion of the figures. I have a figure in my hand I look at its foot for example, I need to build stairs for that figure so I know how big real stairs are compared to my foot so I just do the same thing. I build for the figure, same with door ways and walls and everything else. It all depends on the figure. I'm sorry I can't help with scales but I know there are charts out there for such a thing.
Jackorama / well thank you very much anyways, l was thinking on going to hobby lobby or michaels to get like some chairs or a table or 2 & there made for the scale as well, l guess lll just take a figure & see what fits maybe they'll know the scale or should 🤣
One more thing I might ask is how much do you usually charge for such a piece like this to be built ? I wanted to display my older figures for a while now because they just sit in my closet... it’s sad to me and wanted to showem off for my pops
ahahahah not being picky, I wanted to do it back then but they didn't make the rancor yet. then they came out with it and I thought it would be cool but not cool enough, I mean it would just be a cave with one figure in it, the texture of the rocks and all that and thats it. I rather have the entire Lord of the rings movies underneath it. but then again.... maybe someday!
