This is a demo of my post calibration using dirac. Using dirac has enabled me to get a very clear, clean room filling sound that has an even output anywhere in the room so music stays the same wherever you are stood or sat. Im very happy with the results.

A nice simple elegant setup. Don't suppose you can remember what the DB level on the Arcam was. Having my couch off the back wall took the acoustic perception up to the next level. Even though corners are most prevalent, those low frequencies also love to stack up against the back wall (in my small room anyway) Beside it sure beats having to lean forward 😊

Yeah it was a nice system that one. Db level? Do you mean volume or what i set it at to calibrate?

@@russellparker4568 Yeah, the DB readings on the Arcam itself. I'm just trying to do a sound comparison with one of my videos. After all, with both of us being in a similar size environment, I would imagine the room gain is pretty much the same, too

@@totalplonker824I’m sorry i cant remember. I would tend to leave the screen off, I’m not a huge fan of screens on components. I went over to your channel, those speakers you have sound lovely and open 👏

Thanks. A lot of measuring and moving the speakers, comparing the response throughout the room. If you play around enough you can minimise the amount of correction. The russell k were especially difficult in my room, they threw out some serious sound energy, awesome speakers, gone now unfortunately.
