After enduring three years of strict zero-COVID policies, China's economy has plunged into a persistent downturn, alarmingly extending its impact to the military. In Communist China, the military is a key tool for threatening and suppressing the populace. Therefore, some scholars believe that the regime could collapse once the CCP is unable to afford the operational costs of the military and police.
