Knopfler / Dire straits can be really hard to cover, but you did it perfectly well (on other vids too). I know there’s a ton of minutious work behind this and everytime I watch I feel really impressed.

Absolutely brilliant cover - but you make it clear, too, that the original works with overdubs. There are two parts that Mark Knopfler plays on the recording. Nobody else could have played that second part like him, and that´s why seeing them live (Loreley, Germany, June 1979) was a little disappointing. The band was tight and great, but something was missing in songs like this one. In fact, Mark has never found an accompanying guitarist to live up to the standard that Mark himself set. It would have been great if he had teamed up with someone like Bruce Cockburn for a while - Cockburn could have delivered the fingerpicking licks on a Strat behind Mark´s solo playing. Nevertheless, guys, you are phantastic!

Great cover & better MK vocals cover than any cover band I've seen. I do a really good MK vocals cover but don't play an instrument & I'm not in a band (yet). Maybe better overall based on your other covers - No offense meant:)). I'm just learning this song now so will see how I do.
