I'm 28 years old, grew up listening to this music on the original LP two disc set of Alchemy Live, who my father still own and listen to, even 30 years later, when he received this LP as a gift from my mother. Ogni volta che sento questa versione è una pura emozione. Per me che poi sono cresciuto fin dalla prima uscita e diventato vecchio con Sultans of swing è scioccante ascoltare tale magia. Ma non mi basta caro Heres. Per fare un lavoro completo, io e credo tutti i fan di Mark Knopfler abbiamo bisogno che tu stesso dica le emozioni che provi tu a suonare questi capolavori. Cosa provi quando sfidi te stesso su un pezzo del genere e capisci di aver fatto un gran bel lavoro. E' questo che noi perduti fan dei Dire Straits vogliamo sapere, è qualcosa di cui abbiamo bisogno per essere sicuri che il tempo nella nostra vita che abbiamo dedicato a MK è stato speso bene.
This is strange, almost every single note and beat is identical to alchemy version yet i feel that its not. Somehow you managed to make it yours in a beautiful way, expressing the love we all feel for the alchemy version. You didnt play Dire Straits Sultans of Swing, you played yours and you played it amazing!

Sir, great respects to you. Sultans of swing is one of the important song that I've been learning to shape mysef as a guitarist. (being in my last year of schooling). I want to perform this song like you in my Annual School Event( would be my last performance in my school)
Well... It's clear to me that you know this piece well enough to choose to make it your own. I really like the way you deviate from the original when you want to, rather than not having learned it properly. (As so many fail to do). Lovely attention to detail, especially the right hand technique. This is the best Alchemy version cover I've seen, very well done!
You must be a guy that has been listening to M.K. from a young age , and loved his playing, because this takes years to play it as good as you do, with such a deep understanding of his style. You could make good money here in Holland with a dire straits cover band .
I have seen all of the available Alchemy live and the recorded versions out there and I can firmly say that this is the only one that has come close to Knopfler's level. Keep going man, you have INsane skills and improv. Cant wait to see what u play next, count me in! SoS is probably the greatest musical arrangements in the history of rock. Especially bc every live performances were unique, Mandela concert had the most soul out of all, Royal Albert had the most improvisations out of all, Hammersmith was the high-tempo one. Ty for keeping the history alive, appreciate it..
