Hello Nikola at 1:58 after the bend I notice the tab says to pick on the 12th frets on high e and b strings before the pull off is that a typo it sounds like it should be on the 10th and not 12th please clarify I want to make sure it isn’t just me
Right!😂😂 You just learned both solo? In a pigs ass, you did. If you're trying to say you watched this lesson and...Voilà...Presto... Abracadabra...you can suddenly smash both solos, you are full of bologna, and not a good German deli brand balogna like Stiglmeier, either. You're full of that cheap ass Bar-S packaged balogna made from chicken and pork. I've been a guitarist since the early 70s. The first solo isn't that difficult to get down, but that second solo took me many hours long practice sessions, a couple acute cases of tendonitis, a nervous breakdown, 3 failed relationships, and I lost my house because I was so intent of learning the solo I forgot to pay the mortgage, and I still can't play the goddamn thing!!!! Neither can you, so just stop your fibbing, mister! 😂😂
I've been playing guitar for nearly 30 years and this is the longest solo I've ever attempted to learn. Slowing it down and having the tab guide below made it so easy and fun. Thanks so much!
@@nikolagugoskiyou're amazing man. I mean playing it is as it is difficult but being able to hear where it is being played on the fretboard. I only wish to be able to come close to being this good
I just want to say thank you. I’ve been watching your channel for years, and you are simply the best. I use your lessons to learn the songs for my covers, because they are 100% accurate. Keep doing this brilliant job man.
Omg! Thank you. Just learning the beginning but made my day. God bless you bro! One of my absolute fav songs of all time. Playing this on a accoustic is tough! I'm normally a rhythm chord player not a finger picking player but I have decided to take up the challenge and learn this!!!
Saw a local band play this at a gig the other week and thought "Hmm perhaps about time I learned how to play the solo". Thanks to your great video I think I've got it under my fingers now👋👍
Alchemy unfortunately is their worst album but it includes the best version of Telegraph Road ever played. I mean, no one was able to replace Pick Withers. Terry Williams ruined all the great songs. I'm wondering why Mark did not get it. Pick's melodic playing matched perfectly to Marks guitar work. I'd like to see Knopf and Pick together again... that would be awesome! Pick was with the Dave Edmunds Band as they played in my Pup. I suspect that there was a big argument between the two of them. Shame!
@@wolfgangmarkusgstrein8522 alchemy is my favourite album of all time actually. The way Mark Knopfler plays the songs differently than the studio version and paired with Terry William's drumming is amazing
Ive heard this song since I was a kid in the 80s. Always liked it but never thought I could play it. Still working on the flow of the last part but I’m starting to get it. This is the best version of this song for me as a beginner. Thank you for the lesson.
I just came from the hotel california video. Wasn't sure I would be able to do it but I managed to get it in a little over a week. Was going to post a video. RU-vid took that shit down FAST! 😂
Comi It seems that is lacking a note two. Can you send me all the sequence of this part, I mean, all 15 notes ? Write so : G 12 b 14 B 12 E 12 B 13 p 10 If this part is correct, can you send me the rest please ?
Comi The part of solo that you sent me is now correct : (G : 12 b 14) ( B : 10, E : 10, B : 13 p 10 ) (G : 12, B : 10, G : 12 p 10 ) (D : 12 p 10, 10 h 12) * (G : 10, B : 10, G : 12 ) I separated the solo into parts, using parentheses, just because of the rhythm. I was taking a look at other guitarrists solo in youtube and I was all morning studying the solo. Most solos were wrong. But the solo of one guitarrist drew my attention and he played just one different note. In the part of solo that I put an asterisk. In this marked with asterisk sequence I'm going to change just one note, how this guitarrist wrote : D : 12, "G : 10", D : 10 h 12 The note I changed is in quotes. Then, take a look if you agree or not with this change. Thank you very much for having sent me the correct solo. You saved me from having too much work to do.
@@nikolagugoski you're the man! I studied the first solo today. I love the way you also give the scale and context of the notes in the solo. It really helps us learn what's going on and maybe apply some licks otherwise. Thanks again and God bless.
@@theycallmewoodstock1756 but why does he do that I don't understand it won't be an accurate version and is people want to learn it at the correct speed they can't + if its to fast people can slow down the video and go up till its normal speed idk it seems super weird to me to play it slower on each video
@@ryasaw519 you cant easily learn the song at ×1.5 speed. He slows it down so people can hear each note, see the tabs, and see the guy and what he's doing. If you want the actual song, go listen to the actual song
@@nikolagugoski Yes, please. I'd absolutely love to properly learn this song. For a lot of people like me, it's really difficult to learn complex songs with tabs alone and no video demonstration.
GREAT TAB! There's only ONE mistake that I caught, and it's on the tab rather than how you play it. At 1:57 you do the bend 12b14 and then 12 12 on the B and E strings, when it should be 10 10. Your tab helped me a lot to play this solo better, but that part (the 12 12) just sounded off, so I checked on other tabs and even how YOU play it, and it is indeed 10 10. Hope that helps to whoever was as confused as I was. Other than that, loved it.
Thankyou nikola you are a experto saludos desde peru tengo 52 años y gracias a tu hermoso tutorial ya puedo tocar mi tema favorito de mi niñez te lo agradesco..thankyou very much...
At 1:58, I think after you bend on the G string 12th fret, it's supposed to be 10th fret B string, 10th fret E, instead of 12 on the B and 12 on the E.
This is so awful difficult to do, tryin for years now but still a struggle, although I play good guitar, this one is extremely tough for me and I hope maybe in 15 years I'll do it 😀🔥 Great video 👌👍
Hey Nikola! Your tutorials are the easiest to learn. Thank you for making us all better guitarist! Do you have any tips to play the fast parts of the second solo? I just cant get them up to speed....
Hi Felix! Thank you so much for watching. I'm really glad you find this useful. I think when it comes to faster playing is all about patience. Try to take the parts/licks you are having trouble with and play them with a metronome. Start slow and increase the speed when you feel comfortable.
