That’s just an ordinary species of wolf remember not all wolves are small there are some species that are massive so it’s obviously not a dire wolf or a mutant wolf. It’s just a very large species of wolf I don’t know exactly the species, but I’ve seen it on the Internet were a RU-vidr named casual geographic, basically has much better animal facts then some people like you who literally just assume it’s just a prehistoric wolf or a mutant
@@BMFEDUPMONKEY'all keep saying this but a quick Google search says that the largest wolf ever recorded was 175 pds with an extra 20lbs of food in its belly. The wolf in the video is easily over 200. Might even be pushing 300 lbs. That's a Danish fucking Pointer in the video. Danish Pointer males are 80lb dogs on average. They're big dogs. That wolfs' head is the size of half that Danish Pointers' body, just the damn head. The overall size difference is like 3 or 4x the size of the dog for the Wolf. That is MASSIVE. That isnt a normal sized wolf. That thing would be 8ft tall if it stood on its hinds. Stop parroting nonsense. Idk what this thing is, but is NOT your average Timber Wolf.
All you have to have Is a Brian and common sense to know that's not normal... I've never seen a wolf my own eyes... But my common sense tells me that's a fkin beast.
Judging by the trees, which I think are poplar trees this is in northern Canada, this is most likely a timber wolf, the closest thing to a dire wolf you’ll ever see, I crossed paths with one working on a pipeline in northern Alberta, it was as tall as the front of my truck on all fours, black like this one. It looked at me, then carried on, truly amazing creatures and a rare sight to see. I see some people arguing about the size of the wolf in the video, I can’t speak on that but it looks twice the size of the domesticated dog. like I said, the one I saw was as tall as my work truck hood, which was a 3500 Chevy with large tires, perfect leaning height for someone around 6’. I’d say the wolf was between 4’ to 4’5”. It sounds crazy and to this day I wonder what it really was, because its fur hung down under its stomach about halfway to the ground and that’s not really seen on timber wolfs, it’s snout was much longer than typical pictures of them but it may have just been a very large alpha, things are different deep in the wild, I don’t think we truly know what’s out there.
a canadian timber wolf or northwestern wolf (biggest species of wolfes) i saying this because a normal timber wolf is just a bit larger that an artic wolf.
@@Ulf_Fangcanadian grey wolfs aka timber wolfs are the biggest species of wolves and can weight up to 180lbs which is 82kg but in the video that wolf's weight at least 300lbs or more
That’s a huge wolf! But you should research the Dogman. It’s real. Crazy to think but it’s huge. Around 7ft and looks a lot like Inubus or the werewolves on The Howling.
Even if they’re joking or not. Skinwalkers have definitely appeared throughout history in various forms. So to write it off as non existent shows how small minded you are. Things and sighting that have been recorded for decades and centuries shouldn’t be wrote off just because you or the people you know hasn’t had any first hand experiences.
@gamerreks7613 Direwolves died out ages ago. Did you see how massive that thing was? No way it’s a normal wolf. I’ve heard many stories about Skinwalkers taking on the appearance of giant wolves.
That wolf was stalking the camerman i stg. I saw his head fixated in his direction. Dog must have gotten closer to distract him, but I'm almost certain he was stalking the dude.
People underestimate how big some animals actually are. Wolfs, especially those in Yellowstone and Alaska, are massive, over 2m (that's 6'4'' in Retard Units) in length. Similar thing goes for the Moose, they are over 2m at the shoulders. It's not that the animals in these videos are unnaturally large, it's that most people have never seen one in the first place.

@@narcissamalfoy886 Black wolf cant grow that much dire wolf fully growned can be that size or even bigger but it went extinct 10k years ago so it cant be
That wolf is absolutely bigger than a normal Timberwolf it may not be a Dire Wolf, maybe a Timberwolf that just grew to be insanely big, you can see how massive it’s head is as it’s sitting on the ground before he even zoomed in it looked like a bear for a second and as the wolf is a couple yards away it further goes to show its impressive size, it looks to be the around the same size as a Grizzly Bear imo
I came here after watching The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch S05E03 Dead In The Water. Naturally, I had to go down a rabbit hole learning more about dire wolves. Anyone else stumble upon this video that watches the show and has seen the episode?
And you can tell that from the video how? ... You've obviously never seen American grey wolf up close I absolutely despise the hunting of wolves because they do not attack people there's been less wolf attacks in the past 100 years than there has lightning strikes on people and that is a literal fact but look below free picture just to get an idea of how big a gray wolf actually is
For the people who don’t understand that’s just a normal wolf (and yes they can go that big) the dog barking at it was named trigger He was swallowed up, but then the council or whatever had a shot gun, and shot at the wolf spitting the dog out (he’s ok) The Wolf was there the whole day for some reason
And you're stating that that is a fact based on what evidence because scientific evidence shows they've been extinct for quite some time . The American gray wolf which that most likely was is a very large wolf in person they're back from ground to the level spot on their back can easily be 3 ft tall we have some local to where I live and those things are huge twice as big as any German Shepherd or Mastiff you've ever seen
Probably not a dire wolf. If the person filming even suspected they had spotted they'd spotted an animal thought to have gone extinct 10,000 years ago, they would have filmed longer than 5 seconds, zoomed in at least a little, and the footage would have been sent to a research group specializing in Canids, not posted on RU-vid, because a discovery like that would make their great-great grandchildren stinking rich.
A lot of people hear “wolves are kind of like bigger coyotes” and think a coyote would be a medium dog and a wolf a large dog Wolves can also be the size of a bear dude
actually not , we humans we have a very distorted view that wolves are just wild Siberian husky when in fact grey wolves measure 4' 7" tall while the largest dog breed currently according to google is the 3 foot long Saint Bernard so no it's not a mutated wolf it's just a regular grey wolf honestly i was impressed at the difference when i was studying to be a biologist. Sorry for any wrong words i am brazilian and i not prety good at English.
it could also b a timber wolf but if u see a dire wolf ur prolly stuck in the fabric of time if u do in fact see 1 it prolly just a timber wolf so keep calm AND WAKE UP😨😨
Could’ve been a “relative” To one of the huge gray wolves Like this one Glaser, July 12, 1939, on 70-Mile River, approximately 50 miles from its mouth in extreme east central Alaska, weighed 175 pounds,” Young wrote. “It was the heaviest that has been taken by any of the personnel of the Fish and Wildlife Service.” The 140 pound wolf that Gardner weighed in 1997 came from the same area. There is no way it is a dire wolf because direwolves went extinct around 11,000 yrs ago And unless they’ve been hiding and aren’t actually extinct. EX. The tequila fish Or it’s CGI camera placement making it look like a dire wolf Chernobyl wolves (yes those are real go read or smth) You may ask “Is there any way dire wolves could still be alive?” Well I’ll answer that Unfortunately, no species of wolf living today is descended from the Dire Wolf and no one has found hair follicles or other living Dire Wolf tissue as is the case with the mammoth. Therefore, it is impossible to breed back the Dire Wolf using direct DNA. It is simply not available. But maybe further technology could help us “revive” or make a wolf close to the dire wolf But not now maybe later but not now I’m tired of typing so See y’all later BUT y’all rlly don’t know how big wolves actually are Like this could be a your average “friendly” neighborhood wolf
Some variations of wolves actually do get insanely big like that. It's just that most humans don't realize it. They seem to think wolves only get to be as big as a domestic dog, which is wrong. Wolves are wild and designed to hunt larger animals than themselves to eat and to be able to survive. This means wolves are not really limited on how big and monstrous they can actually get. Learn to accept it people. That's nature for you. Y'all simply don't know everything that there is in the natural wilderness.
That's straight up how big they typically are. Btw, dire wolves and timberwolves are the same size. Dire wolves are only giant by jackel standards (they are, in fact, jackels)
