Great video, and I appreciate your effort and work, but I don't think you really compared the bikes. I was excited to hear commentary about the differences due to geometry, but all I heard was "they're both super fun." I don't know. Maybe I didn't pay close enough attention
Can you really call this video a shootout? How about getting into the details in geo differences, drivetrain specs, etc? How about comparing the ride in different terrains between the two. I think you could have put a little effort into this. Maybe you should have called the video "two bro's ride bikes that they like".
I would love to purchase either of these awesome bikes but Canyon is sold out and YT will ship approx june 22. So this season goes with my 2017 Evil the Calling.
D2C bikes are awesome value when the geo is spot on! YT have done it, Canyon don’t know about it. What’s with some Euro brands and long seat tubes and short droppers?
i live in florida and i'm only going with the canyon because yt has sales tax added on. canyon is $99 shipped and yt is $353 shipped with that 7.5% sales tax.
the fact the UT only has room for one special order water bottle is a no go for me. Even the Canyon looks to be a bit tight for some bottles and tricky to get in and out.
@@marekmarcisovsky3496 wow you are right! For some reason I thought they were building the bikes in US.. but actually the offices are in the US bit the factory in Germany. Sorry for that.
Not sure which bike I want. Looking at the Spectral 125 AL6 or the Spectral 27.5 CF 7. Was looking for a playful bike and wanted 27s, but the normal spectral looks like to much travel. The normal spectral is alot lighter, and I like the colorway. Which would you recommend, im 14 and looking for a new bike and want something 3-3.5k since im paying for it. Im on the east coast and like jumping and hitting long trail rides with lots of climbing and descending. Currently on a trek marlin 6, and its nowhere near enough for me.
@@49cam13 well, if you have a bike shop nearby go and try some. My only problem and stress was that I never tried the spectral I have now. A year passed from my purchase and I am still in love with it. TBH I am not abusing it 😅 Light trail use and twice bike park.
I LOVE MY MOUNTAIN BIKE FAMILY!!!!! BOTH BIKES LOOK LIKE A GREAT CHOICE FROM BEGINNER TO ADVANCED. SOMETHING TO CONSIDER!!!! GREAT VIDEO & THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. ru-vid.comUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
Lacking a proper analysis of the 2 bikes or any real comparison; all you told us is that they are both really good, without actually comparing the 2 bikes, giving us specs is not providing us with a riders comparison
How is this a bike shootout? You don't provide any feedback or reviews for either bike. It's just 2 minutes of product copy and then 5 minutes of shitty royalty free music over two people riding.
Poor video. You didn't compare proper spec (e.g. weight, travel) , you didn't clearly covered how the bikes differ going up/down , you didn't say which one you prefer. Bottom line - armature
