I believe the kick was another move Lydia did for the clones to copy. If you look close, just after she does it, the ensemble copies and does it together in a big group right on a musical cue at the end of the word they were singing, before running over to pick her up and keep singing. At least, that's why I think they did it! :D

The lighting in this musical is outstanding. Whenever I see this musical it’s one of my favourite parts

I think the kick was timed a bit off, you see Alex "dodges" it, Also, it's another movement that the clones get to copy. I really suggest you to react to more Beetlejuice, their production is unbelievable
