I love my Copper too, its biblical......Solomon’s Temple: King Solomon, known for his wisdom and wealth, built the First Temple in Jerusalem for the worship of Yahweh. Copper played a significant role in this temple. The Molten Sea (also called the Brazen Sea) was a large basin made of copper. It stood in the south-eastern corner of the inner court. According to the Bible, it was five cubits high, ten cubits in diameter, and thirty cubits in circumference. The brim was like a lily blossom, and it rested on the backs of twelve oxen. The basin could hold two or three thousand baths of water1. The copper from Solomon’s mines likely provided the metal used in the building of the temple and for all the utensils used in temple services2.

Hi Angela, Joel and family. Greetings from Perth Western Australia. Would it be possible to create a ‘stamp’ of the tile pattern. This would then relieve you of drawing the pattern from the stencil. Then you would be able to proceed with the blue porcelain marker and then the ink. Just a thought, if it is possible it would cut your job down by 1/3rd. Kindest regards and very best wishes. 🤗🐾

Your home is beautiful, but it is not for me and my home would not be for you. Most of my area is Whitetail by Sherwin-Williams and my den/guest room is Country Squire by Sherwin-Williams, a deep green highgloss with white trim. This room has windows on 2 sides and mirrored glass doors opposite a window so the light bounces against the walls. I had this color for years in Ohio and now I do again in Maryland. It is so cozy to curl up with a book or to watch a movie. My entire home is filled with artwork and items that are filled with memories. My belief is our homes should reflect the people who live there...no cookie cutters! I do love your site...❤

I've done quite a few tile projects, and I've never seen such a tiny grout line. I love it! My house is so wonky, I couldn't get away with that because I need the grout to be able to fudge things into looking square, level, and plumb.

I have been in Monet’s house and gardens when my daughter and family lived in France for a couple years. We also visited Versailles, absolutely gorgeous. A must for anyone visiting France. Chambord Castle and Villinay are beautiful too. I was in several French homes and gardens. I didn’t really see a lot of chipped old furniture or decor, they were more modern and beautiful.

Kudos to you! You had a vision and put the research and hard work to make it happen. I have been using tin lines copper pots for yrs. In fact, I just had to have them retinned about 2yrs ago. I could never hang mine in my kitchen because I use then all the time and don't polish the copper and the tin is impossible to clean. So I am wondering it you use your pots or just have them for display

Looks beautiful, but I would have done it the other way around. I would have had the tile down below where you’re cooking, so it’s easy to wipe clean and then the stone above..personal preference.

Looks like stepping back in time. How difficult is it to wash copper pots after cooking? What about pans, obviously they are not nonstock so do u have to use a huge amount of oil?

Simply beautiful. I had to laugh at the very beginning when you said to sit down with a glass of Dry Farms and a bowl of popcorn. I had done just that. A glass of Effet Papillon Blanc and a bowl of popcorn with truffle oil- my favorite. You have inspired me. I have some Delft tiles that I will now put to use in my kitchen. Thank you!
