Director's Cut is a competition to find Britain's best new filmmaker.
Eight of the country's most talented filmmakers from a nationwide search compete against one another to become Britain's Best New Filmmaker. They face the scrutiny and criticism of a panel of expert judges before one is finally announced the winner, receiving one hundred thousand pounds and a three month work placement with Universal Studios in Hollywood.
