I have been looking for a directory theme that let visitors and business owners to message each other but not only by email, more like a message center.
Directorist isn't a community site, so it does't have a way to message each other. You may want to look into the BuddyBoss theme if you want to build community on WordPress. suburbiapress.com/buddyboss
I am using the Avada theme, and was wondering would any of the theme extensions with directorist, would it work with page in AVada, or would Avada theme mess it up?
That's awesome except that average people won't take a look at the "featured listing" and say "oh my gosh, there's an excellent choice in Bali, let's take a flight there" but average people want to narrow down the search to their own place and they don't want to look throughout all categories but only the one that is interesting for her/him, then and only then, they will search for a listing that they like (place/city > category > listings, no backwards), nice video though
You don't have to use this as a travel directory, though that's a common case. It could be for divorce attorneys in your town, plumbers, or WordPress plugins. It's up to the site owner to attract the right audience so they see the directory that interests them. There may be occasional specials or discounts that get featured. Lots of different ways to use this tool and the featured listing. Imagine what you could do with a Black Friday page.
@@SuburbiaPress I agree, but anyway I won't be looking to hire a divorce attorney in Texas when I am in Ohio, what I mean is that I can't make a WordPress site for every city but the listing directory should be able to show me only the listings under the desired category of the specific city I live in, do I make sense? I mean no offense neither to insult you or anybody, I am just searching for the appropriate directory to do such things.
