I watched Hand Tool Rescue’s video first, so this feels like the behind the scenes/directors cut of his video. It’s nice to get to see different aspects of the project. Awesome job fellas.

I love the juxtaposition of watching you restore an old tool to like-new condition using tools I've seen you acquire new that now look well worn.

This edit is so striking, so revealing of a person that doesn't speak in his videos. You are a great interviewer Jimmy, I would love to see more of this style.

what we have here is a guy who likes to return old tools to their original condition and bring out the beauty they possess and another guy who likes to improve old ideas (tools) to make them better and more unique - welcome to our wonderful world : )

I have restored two of those Deltas from the 40s vintage. Not only do you get a better appreciation of the machine, you really learn how to tune it properly and end up with an awesome tool. Thanks you for posting theses great videos!

I was at the local woodworker store and saw an elderly gent and his son in law asking about bandsaw. I couldn't help but listen to the salesman trying to get this dude to pony up on a tiny Rikon saw for $700. I had 2 14 in Deltas at home, one to restore (worked perfectly) and one that I use so when they were leaving I told him I had what he needed and I'd let it go for a mundo, 30 minutes later this guy had a 1944 Delta 14 in band saw in his truck. This video j7st reminded me of that guy and the amazing intarsia he makes, great video thanks for posting.

awesome! meeting eric was a blast and being able to to watch him do his (incredibly meticulous) thing was really impressive. Also I had a great time helping out!

Oh man! I absolutely love this. Like you Jimmy, the bandsaw is probably my favorite machine. In 7th grade shop it was my first exposure to power tools (other than hand tools like drills, etc ) This old DELTA is gorgeous, what a machine! Great resto!

Now that is a collaboration of talents unprecedented in the rejuvenation of tools from a gone by era. I wish I had that saw functional but yet a work of art.

MAN this was a GREAT collaboration idea. Between HTR and Scout Crafter I'm now investing in 100 year old wrenches to load my shop up with after a minimal cleanup with a wire brush and buffing wheels.

Eric is the best, I hope you guys do more stuff together, Jimmy! Y'all should do a pod! Just a laid back chatting format. Sometimes Making It is a little too formal. :)

Old tools are so neatly made, and this isn't even old, old, and it still is better than what you can buy today. I mean, look at those legs, if they did legs properly, like that today, the corporate CEOs wouldn't have money for half a meter of gas...

Fun to watch. I really enjoyed it. I've got one my late dad bought in 1950/51 with the badge marked Delta, without the Rockwell. Original tyres, blade, plastic knobs, mobile stand and casters, work light and no rust. Always kept in a dry garage. Still runs great today.

I can only imagine that Eric has a phenomenal memory, eidetic memory even, to be able to put these things back together. I mean, photos/media help too but damned if I can barely put together an IKEA side table without it ending up inside-out.
