@@wtfx5757 no it doesn't, the team could have not signed him back or traded him without his consent and then what, that means he has no respect or love for them? If he had left at any point it means he had no respect or love? It just doesn't make any sense. His showing of love and respect for the org and fans is not defined by him not being traded it is defined by his words and actions for the team and city. If anything it shows their love and respect for him, they never drove him off the team or alienated him. They built a team around him and didn't force him to leave to find a franchise that cares about wnning.

I remember this very well. I felt so bad that he had to deal with tabloid press. Dirk never stepped a toe out of line and some crazy lady almost ruined his life.

It’s cool to see Graham initiate questions about risky topics with confidence but respect. Reminded me of when he asked Kobe about his allegations with the same consistency as any other question and Kobe didn’t deflect and gave a solid answer. Rarely see this respect and candidness in the media today.

Thank you Dirk for not going into it about my mother! You answered every question very well. I’m very honored to have spent time with you and had a chance to know you. You were very sweet, kind and brought us in just like family. I remember when you and I were sitting on the trampoline and we would talk. Another great memory, when we were watching a movie and I wanted to go to bed early and you said “it’s spring break.” Lol. I was so tired. I agree that Wade was sent to the foul line way too often in 2006, but Dirk himself has admitted he came up short in 2006 based on his performance. He missed quite a few clutch shots during the last 4 games of that series.

I remember this but it never made me doubt Dirk’s character. I never even wanted to look it up because of all the reasons Dirk stated. He is always private. He is a professional’s professional. And thanks to her showing her true colors, he has the family he deserves.

As a Spurs fan I did not like Dirk, but I always respected him. I was so happy for him when he finally won his championship. As you can tell by the tribute we gave him in his last game here, San Antonio has so much respect for Dirk.

I don't like how Graham pressed Dirk in this segment. You can tell Dirk was getting annoyed when he took a sip of his water. Most of the times I like to hear the drama stories but not with a guy like Dirk who is a class act all around and even in this interview.

I’m sure he picked this show for a reason. Seemed like he was disappointed with the line of questioning. Pressed a polite man after what I thought were sufficiently insightful responses and a declaration that he didn’t want to talk specifics. Made me sad.

I've always loved Dirk! Even though he wasn't on my team back in the day I always respected him & thoroughly enjoyed watching his game. Has anyone who's honest ever had a bad word to say about him? I watched a prank with him once, he was out to dinner with friends. This kid kept asking for his autograph on different items & no matter how much he brought Dirk was the humble guy that just did it for him. His friends were like, "dude, you're WAY too nice!! You know he's gonna sell 90% of that!" So sorry for what he went through with that 'lady' he didn't deserve it. I hope he's past it & now happy. 💕💕

I can't help but wonder if Dirk himself doesn't realize that the Dallas community had so much love and respect for him that there was really nothing for him to be embarrassed about? (just the way i felt about it) There are people in this life that i don't care to protect but he is one that i always would and would never want to see embarrassed. He is a great humanbeing! Swish41

I remember everyone was saying she looked like Muffy off of the children's show "Arthur" lol. I felt so bad for him, but thank God he remained classy and played through it. 2008 and 2009 playoffs were BAD distractions, with '08 containing the Josh Howard marijuana comment and party issues and '09 being when this fiancé mess happened.
