true... so rare to see player play in one team for his career or at least decade... i miss 80s 90s where club had its face, now every year each team changes so much, its a bit sad to see lebron on lakers or shaq change 10 teams :D
It is always harder to hit shots farther from the basket than 5ft from it. For Dirk to hit that many shots being 7ft and all is just amazing. Truly the man changed the game. Congrats Dirk, I'm ok with you retiring but if you still want to play with Luka and KP I cant blame you.
God, I'm gonna miss this guy when he retires. Lol. Even though I grew up with Ben and Rasheed and Chauncey and Tayshaun, Dirk was literally on TV my entire life from the moment I started watching basketball. And for him to pass Wilt with his classic midrange fadeaway is about as appropriate as it gets.
Saw dirk when he was young age at European cup (was it at '97 ?), the dude didn't play a normal ball, that German squad back then looked SOOOOO BAD that felt like Dirk was playing a 1v9 (or let's say 3v7 more accurate..), yes, felt like even some teammates were playing against him back in the days and still had a decent number of wins :D
Wilt was good. Damn good. Boxing him out was tough and never easy. The only time I had success blocking Wilt was when he doubled pumped and went up too slow. Congratulations Dirk and may my Brother Wilt continue to rest in the greatest of peace!
For me are only 3 players who never earned a bad word in history. Kobe, Timmy Duncan and Dirk. All three are first ballot HoF, played near or over 20 years for 1 franchise and won ring/s. Real and true Champions.
dirk, timmy and kobe...those 3 great players are the most loyal franchise player of all time...true champions...but dirk was the most deserving champion of them all...because he won the championship without an all star calliber teammate
dirk dethrone the super team miami heat lead by lebron, wade and bosh...the big 3 was out classed by the huge 1...the one and only great dirk nowitzki...
Although feel like this particular stat has been somewhat unnaturally-inflated (I mean, play for 20+ seasons ?), Dirk deserved all the props and glory, grats to this man's impact to the game and well-deserved HoF :)
I can understand why someone would think that, but let's take someone who played for 17 years during the NBA and was a 1st round pick. Richard Jefferson. Only 3 years less than Dirk has and 17,000 less points. That's how good Dirk is.
Rudy Cooper wow you are full of hate...🤣🤣🤣roids lol hahahahhahahaha i guess everyone took then roids stop hating and achieve something in your life bum
@@boogieb_7179 True...but at the end of the day, trying to compare different eras is pointless. The game has evolved over time...shot clock, 3-ptrs, other rule changes etc. I ain't gonna lie...Wilt was a freak of nature.
