Brilliant video ha ha I had a Roven once and after five hours of running time allsorts started going wrong. I run the engine in properly with very good oil and even the engine blew up to 20 hours after use. Rear gearbox went, both to servos went and every time I took it out something else broke. Sold it and got a king motor! Tones better

Dude I'm in to 5/th scale and all have been fitted with a kill switch,this is a must with petrol RC especially if you're running in with people about. Love your videos dude!!

Rovans are great! Their whole line of RC's are perfect... Gotta break it in with some heat cycles tho lol but the 29 and 30.5 are tough as nails an take a beating... Just look out for the shock oils and diff oils sometimes they come a lil low from factory. Great vid bro

Nice I had the 30.5cc rovan and it was a beast but it did break the CV driveshaft from not letting off the throttle on a jump but I made hd CV driveshafts and never broke again. Oh and it was freezing outside and I stripped the spur gear once and that was all that ever broke on it .

Great video. I saw video or same RC car done by Aussie bloke, it took him half an hour just to start it, after two minutes u were doing doanuts in the car park, good man and Pat.

I've watched a lot of your videos. i really love rc cars. i used to have an xmax. it was given to me used but i had to sell it to help out my family. I've always wanted to have an rc car that was 2 stroke. watching your videos brings joy to my life. but they also make me want an rc more. id really love to have that exact rc. used or not. i dont care as long as it works. i just dont have much money.

Great one! I've always loved large scale. My latest is another FG f1 comp car. The one with hydraulic disk brakes. I had a Rovan a couple years ago it was a great car. I just saw they came out with a "shorty" Baja. I want it with their new 45cc engine.

didnt look as big as it really is until pat had r n his arms. i have a 1/8 nitro i havent run for a couple yrs now and though i've watched my fair share of nitro vids its this one, the sound, that instantly made me want to (tune and) fire mine up. the price seems good. mind u not sure i can justify another nitro without getting myself a plane first. always have wanted one, already have a buggy, i think ill have to go flyin next🛩

To greatly reduce the high frequency noise from the exhaust, add a short length of thick walled silicon tubing with two nylon zip ties pinching it to about 2/3 I.D. and 10-15mm apart.

Put a 2 speed on it like I did and man wow it flys. Then swap the carburetor on it for a Walbro one without a choke it makes a hell of a lot of difference plus those intake boost bottles you get of ebay

the rear diff cup have a screw that hold a pin in place you need to loctite them they back out and brakes pins the bevel gears ride on and the throttle servo are the only problems i ever had with rovan rc . had mine for 5 or 6 years every thing done to it now obr motor, vrc pipe ,4 wheel hydro brakes , aluminum / nylon parts ,kraken rc cage.

GET A KILL SWITCH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I HAD A RUNAWAY WITH MY LOSI DBXL FIRST TIME OUT.

Morning mate. Great to c u try a 1/5 on your Chanel. Cpl things. Run in up to u. Some say do it carelessly others carefully😂. It was free anyway right. More importantly... please fit a remote kill switch! £30 ish. U can then cut it remotely from the transmitter using the 3rd Chanel button. These r known on occasion to runaway and that could cause big damage/ problems. Do not run it without one!!! Get yourself to bashfest! A 2 yearly event held in the Northampton area. Over bank holiday weekends. All scales welcome but predominantly 1/5. If u think that’s loud. I’m more than willing to meet up w u.. or u could meet up w me and the group I bash with. To see 50/65/90 cc versions of that car! Lol enjoyed the vid. 👍

Got to love beginner's, fill it up no break in just pork it! Baja buggy on cement and curbs. Oh s..t broke the thingy magingy!

I owned the 30.5cc version of this, what a heap of garbage.. Bought for like $500 sold for $147 after dumping a new motor in it (stock motor broken in right, had crank play up and down) Replaced motor via rovan warranty, still up and down crank play. Pull starters endlessly break. 8000rpm clutch spring was awesome but melted the plastic spur gears. Many other issues... DO NOT BUY ROVAN clones!

500 is not dirt cheap .100 is dirt cheap

I have one. They are a blast! Take apart the diff and red loctite the screws!! They will back out and blow your diff. These don't come loctited from the factory.

I got a 2 stroke Dirt bike yesterday! Its the best model of Senda (Derbi DRD Pro) and its the more rare one (white and blue) I dont have a card yet but Im gonna drive it as quikly as I can. I HAVENT EVEN STARTED IT YET MYSELF!

It’s proven Rovan is keeping the HPI baja alive! And Kevin is proving how awesome these cheaper clones are!

I have had mine since 2009, have over 2k in the beast. All hpi 5b parts interchange, you will find the brake pad suck ass , the shocks will benefit from better oil but you have to use motorcycle fork oil, not silicone shock fluid 15w front and 25w rear. Use good dirtbike filter oil bel ray, maxima , on inner element only, and run good mx bike 2 stroke oil maxima 927 is excellent and smells freakin beautiful . Rpm makes a arms that replace the weak front stockers. You can get a stock hpi exhaust can to quiet it to weedeater levels, but you lose low end torque. You will enjoy this car, they are the master race of rc imo. Check out Daves motors aka DDM for all the parts.

Rovan Baja. Seen so many of these things destroyed by not running them in properly. Least it has the upgraded A arms.
