People can hate on Deegan for being “cocky”, but he has the right attitude. You think MJ or Tiger Woods were well liked by their competitors? Heck no. You’re there to win, and to win against the best in the world you have to think you’re the best. Deegs made some big mistakes this year, but he learned more by making those than if he had been perfect all season long. 10 years and STILL in the 250 class RJ? Same with Smith 29 years old still riding with the kids in 250s afraid to MOVE UP to the Big Boy 450 Class !!!! Deegan would have had the EAST without all the set backs he had at the first of the season, he showed his true speed in the last few races. Rules need to be changed to where if you haven't got a Championship by year 6 you go to 450 and if you cant make it there move to the porch!
