And yet , there are people still disputing that Hoffman isn’t the best in the business , He’s doing exactly what bloomer done to the fields back in the day when he first started building team zero race cars and kicked everyone’s tail for years . Just designing and building a chassis that is good is a huge deal , taking it and dominating is something out of the ordinary , plus racers in his cars are fast as well , gotta give it to this kid for what he’s doing .
He's Not the "Best in the Business" that's why people are saying that. I don't think you realize that there's thousands of Mod drivers out there that are on top of their game. Yes, some drive late model as well. Take Jake Tim for example. Just because you're a Fan of Hoffman doesn't mean that He is Factually "The Best". By the way, Nick is Not a Kid, He's a grown man and has a lot of engineers working on "His" Chassis besides himself. I'm not saying He's not really good, but I would never say He's the Best. Harrison has 6 Championships Hoffman and a lot of other Mod guys have 4.
It may be a learning curve. Some people just never adjust to anything other than what they have already mastered. He was decent in a midget at the dome so maybe he’s just an open wheel guy. I mean shit look at how the modified hot shoe DeVilbiss did recently when he was in the Bloomquist SLM ride. Very similar to Hoffman in a SLM.
There’s a huge difference between the two cars plus the competition is the best in the business around the country , he was fast at Eldora in a BWRC , the day will come that he’s designing and building Elite late models , and I think he’ll be competitive with a few years experience
Nick has no interest in building his own late models. I talked to him after winning at Lincoln Illinois on May 12. He will drive late models but will not build em. Does not want to be like Longhorn, which builds both.
