Dude when I restarted to play chess I was 1200. Now because of your chess teaching, your amazing videos and your wonderful skills I'm 1800 now. I have Even beat some 2000 + players. Some opponents are even afraid of me. They told me where did u learn to play chess? another teacher (a friend of mine) said you are hard to kill. All this because of you, Thanks to U, you are the Best man.

Thanks for posting. Fully agree with your assessment, but how did you study? The guy is so far ahead of me, I have to watch repeatedly to begin understanding. Did you rehearse CJ's openings on-line? All the best.

I play French as black and I always play nf6 here it's automatic and it's a comfortable game I'm a 2150 live blitz on chess.com I've never seen any tricks against me with this opening? As white I do recommend the tarrasch with 3. Nd2 ...Nf6 4. E5 ... Nfd7 5. Bd3 ... C5 6. C3... Nc6 etc

Starting 3:43, the 7 ...Bc5 is not covered. Probably the best continuation is : 8. b4 Bxb4 9.Nexd4 Qa5 Qxa5 Bxa5 Nxc6... Solid for white.

I have several things to point out in the 3... dxe4 variation. Truth is, if White plays correctly, Black will have a very hard time trying to equalize and I have failed myself a couple of times. But on the other hand, I have succeeded a few times. So, to the point... Truth is, French defence is a rather drawish opening, especially the Rubinstein-like and Exchange-like pawn structures. Black is often hindered in counterplay by White's strong center, which leaves him with a choice of playing for the draw at most unless white makes a mistake. But even so, I didn't like your choice of the game, because Black clearly did not know what he was doing. His 4... Be7, which is not a mistake, but it's a horrendous move breaking opening principles (Develop Knights before Bishops and Develop pieces on active squares in particular), is far from being the best choice and the fact that he made Nf6 next move, exchanged and castled on move 7... So far it has not been that bad, but Black committed his king too soon. In French I try to delay castling when I can to avoid premature castle. The point is, the Kingside is often a subject to a strong attack... And also, in some positions you may be willing to castle Queenside. But it was not a mistake nevertheless. The real mistakes began appearing afterwards. After castling Black should have made something. The most sensible approach here was Nc6, which may look antipositional, but then Black is able to develop his LSB without need to do c6 blocking his own development. It's still difficult, but once Black manages to play c5, the it's far from over.

Instead of 12.Bg5, why can't we directly play 12.Bxg6 and if 12...fxg6 then 13.Qg6+, Bg7 14.Ng5, Rf6 15.Qh7+, Kf8 16.Qxh5 with ideas of Nh7+ and queening the h-pawn. (I have to credit Stockfish 7 for finding this variation). Thank you for the video.

1.e4 e6 2.Nf3 d5 3.Nc3 d4 4. Ne2 c5 5.c3 Nc6 6.cxd4 cxd4 7.Qa4 Bc5 8.b5! if Bxb5 then 9.Sexd4! The only move left for Black is Nge7 (Bd7 10.Sxc6) and then White plays 10.Bb5 if Bb6 then 9.Bb2 (b5 and Sexd4 are in the air)
