I can see why it was cut. It changes the fairy tale whimsy vibe Dirty Dancing had. A few of the deleted scenes like Johnny making out in the shrubbery with an unknown woman earlier in the scenes I can totally understand why they were left on the cutting floor.
Uh-huh. and there're still people out there thinking they hated each other? I mean, they had fun in the bloopers, and that cabin scene... HOT DAMN! They should re-realease the movie with all the missing scenes, cause I saw it over 100 times and I just got a hankering for it again LOL.
@@whiteshell1 I remember that as well. He thought she wasn’t taking things seriously .. even that whole scene where he ran his finger down her arm and she would laugh. He mentioned that that was annoying to him at first lol But they were definitely convincing, that’s for sure.
The judgement of baby’s parents because of the respect she has for these people is infuriating at least she kept the faith and found the love of her life ❤❤❤
They should have kept the Johnny Penny scene when he was leaving. It doesn’t make sense that they stopped giving them scenes together and that he wouldn’t have said goodbye to her
Wow, the whole “She’s Like The Wind “ part is just….wow..… I remember I was 12 seeing this in theatre when it first came out and if I was there watching it with that scene left in, I’m not quite sure of how my pre-teen hormones would have reacted .. . Watching it with 48 yr old hormones is a much different story that’s for sure lol. Seriously though, it reminds me of why Patrick Swayze was one of the first posters on my wall, and one was put directly on my ceiling so I could look up at him all night lol
@@anneb889 oh no doubt. I think I was around 11 or 12 and we had to have my friend’s older sister go with us because it was PG-13. It was hard enough to convince my grandmom to let me go see it because of the title. At the time, we didn’t even really know what it was about, but once she found out we would have someone going with us, she said okay and the rest is history lol but yeah, I don’t know what I would be thinking if I saw this at that time 😂
Keeping the part with Dr Houseman explaining he grew up with people like Johnny might have swayed part of the audience to think the dad may have had a point not to like Johnny. Misguided assumption but, not unreasonable like he is in the final cut. I'm wondering what role Kelly Bishop had before the mom. Seems like they dumbed down the mom and sister in the final version. Also, Baby/Francis seemed not so naive in that scene where she asks Lisa to cover for her. More spoiled brat who always got her way,
