"I love....Jesus!" had me in tears of laughter when I first watched this. Also Will Branner is hot and his voice melds so well with Angela's. The choreography is also insane. Love it.
I love this song bc the lyrics are so intresting and spoilery, “ I am expecting you to be-betray me.” EPIC foreshadowing!! The harmonys are insane, the first time It’s uncomfortable but thats kinda what it was going for but I love it more the more I listen to it. bc of the story
The moral of the story is don't shame your teenage children for their normal sexual urges, otherwise the unresolved passion and intensity will change into murderous urges
I'm genuinely shocked to find out people find this song uncomfortable. I mean, it makes sense now that I think about it, I just never would've thought it on my own. It's my favorite song from npmd, I found it kinky and cool rather than uncomfortable. Maybe I've just read too much fanfiction with the Catholic guilt tag...
I keep seeing people rank this song pretty low, and I get that it can make people uncomfortable (though I'd argue that it's intentionally uncomfortable as this is all in Grace's head and she herself is disturbed with this desire coming from her - so maybe the song and scene is a little too successful in showing that). But that aside, the groove is good, the lyrics especially in the verses are immaculate, and Angela and Will have AMAZING harmonies together. Plus, I love the insight it can provide about Grace's character if one cares to look. Legit one of my favorite songs, if not my #1 favorite song from the show.
Literally one of my fav songs from npmd! Maybe I just like being uncomfortable, but I am genuinely shocked thay ppl seem to not b vibing with it as much? Tl;dr: I agree with ya
It's most definintely meant to make you feel uncomfortable, especially since, at the start of the song, it's not even made clear that it's Grace having a fantasy. You very easily could think Max broke in for this and I wouldn't put it past him. That said, the song is AMAZING.
@@adamrhodes9533no because i legitimately thought that he just broke into her house for the ENTIRE musical up until grace says it was in her head at the end. i was just accepting it like “ya, max would do that”
I think what is the most underrated part of Angela’s performance is that when she sings as Lex it’s COMPLETELY different then how she sings when she portrays Grace. It’s almost like some sort of musical accent
I agree. I think she's singing Grace in a higher register, with a little bit of a nasaly tone, whereas Lex is lower and raspier, which makes sense since Lex is a smoker.
Notice how graces dance moves as much more awkward then anyone else’s (which is actually present throughout at lot of the musical, mainly when she’s not in the ensemble) It’s because she’s probably never been to a dance, as a former Christian she probably only knows how to do the cha cha and electric slides
This might be a weird opinion, but I actually kind of like this song. Seeing as it’s taking place in Grace’s mind it kind of makes sense for Max to do this stuff. Which begs the question did he actually mean all that stuff? Better yet, if the circumstances have been different, maybe Max and Grace actually could’ve been a good couple because from their duet here we can tell that they’re harmonies and voices blend perfectly together.
Honesty, I’m aroace to, I just think he looks pretty. And that anatomy-Im curious what his workout routine is. It’s not in a sexual way, more admirable.
Max will Brenner he is funny in the Ghosh costume when he sing nerdy prude must die. Another reason is when max will Brenner sing dirty girl in is amazing. FROM LILY ROSE SMITH. ONE more thing that I want to add on my mom like max will Brenner and she like when he sing nerdy prude must die. My mom name is Kelly and she like when max will Brenner is the Ghost in nerdy prude must die when he kills Paul he put his hand down and move them right and letf and my mom think it is funny.
