I just saw Dirty Honey in NJ 6 days ago at a Philly Radio station event with about 8 other bands. They weren't one of the headlining bands but there were literally thousands of people there to see them. They are very good and put on an awesome show. I don't know where this show was but it seems the crowd isn't very excited, it's a shame. These guys opened huge act like GnR, The Black Crows and are going places, fast.
Saw Dirty Honey when they opened for The Black Crowes just outside of Detroit, I discovered them a few months before the show from Eddie Trunk, probably the biggest reason I went at the time, even though The Black Crowes are my favorite band I was somewhat on the fence about the whole Shake Your Money Maker tour just being a money grab, but glad I went but Dirty Honey played to about a half full amphitheater, never really understood the whole let's party in the parking lot during the opening band, oh well they missed a great set of some kick ass rock n roll.
Saw Mark sing a couple of cover songs at a Royal Machines gig at The Roxy in LA about 6 years ago. I knew right then he would front a great RnR band some day. (I think he may have just arrived in LA at that time.) Soooooo happy to see their success come to fruition. Love them and I never miss the chance to see them live.
I love the way these guys look visually. If Grateful Dead & Blind Melon gave birth and that kid went onto mate with the child of Aerosmith & Guns n Roses you’d most likely end up with the product of Dirty Honey.
I was a little nervous for the singer there as the chorus approached covering "last child." Nice rendition but if it is staying on the set list and as they come to the end of the tour they might want to do this song a step down. (For safety sake. or if singer gets ill.)
