Used to live in Woomera (0:21) When they were still doing missile and weapons testing (late 60's). The road was all dirt then, except for about 20 k's out of Port Augusta at the southern end. No way you fell asleep then, the potholes soon woke you up

I sat down on this road and had lunch once.......no cars for hours. If u stop....people will pull up and ask u if your ok.

its only a 10 hr drive , to Perth its 3000, so 25 hours if you like too steak

Long way of NOTHING!!. I accidentally went over the speed limit on that stretch of road 😬. Now use cruise control. Gotta love Coober Pedy 😁

@Hans Peiper Yea he says there are no rest stops but there are plenty on rd to coober pedy! I had peaceful drive up there in february, until our car broke down in NT!
