Disabled Bride Finds Her Inner Spark Again | Curvy Brides Boutique 

When I was 50 I contracted bacterial meningitis. My world changed. It left me severely disabled as it triggered a cascade of autoimmune and neurological disorders all at their most severe. It took much of everything I saw as myself. So I know what it’s like. Eventually I found there was a lot more to me than what I could physically do, but it took a number of years and seeing a therapist to reach that awareness. I wish this lovely young woman the best of everything.

I think a lot of 'truly' sad people inside may go out of their way to make others feel happy, not experience the anguish that they live with.... and they hiding is a coping mechanism for them. I really hate to hear or see people put themselves down esp those who are geniuely kind. These are thoughts we tell ourselves about ourselves and they're just not true.

I love this. I love that these ladies want to, and do, help full figured women feel as beautiful as they are. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful.

She reminds me so much of myself and my own health experience. Like she said, people think “you survived,” and that’s it. But survival is only the first part of a long battle for someone in this situation.

Life sure isn’t fair

If she took at least 100 pounds off she would be a lot healthier and might be able to walk again. All of her health issues are due to her morbid obesity. She needs to face reality.
