We met David in Walthamstow after another homeless person directed us towards Davids location. When we met David we found him sharing his food with other fellow homeless people. David was a very friendly individual and had great energy. It's always inspiring to see homeless people that have nothing and yet are able to find their happiness in the small joys of life. David told us about his disability where he is unable to walk without the help of crutches and how the doctors cannot figure out the cause of his condition. David was very positive about his future as he had recently managed to find accommodation.

Homelessness is a growing issue for the UK with more than 300,000 people living on the streets. Many of these people don't even make it onto the official figures.
The Unseen is an organisation we set up to give Homeless people a platform to have their stories and their struggles heard. We also want everyday people to have an opportunity to understand what leads a person into being Homeless. We at the The Unseen believe that everybody has a responsibility to help the unfortunate.
We want employers and regular people to support the homeless towards getting back into work and off the streets.
We hope their stories can touch the hearts of many.
Living on the street is no way to live.

So happy to see Invisible People has influenced others to create their own channels and educate their communities. Great work. Be the voice of the voiceless.

I came from a third world country and it is so usual to see homeless on the streets. But it feels different when seeing homeless people in rich countries like the US and UK. Standard of living is very high so am wondering how they are able to survive their daily lives. In here, 1 pound can have a basic meal for 2 already. Also, I can't imagine winter nights in there. Atleast here, its not a problem. I pray that the Unseen be blessed with more subs and views so you can help more people on the streets. Bless you for the initiative. 🙏

Philippines? The countries are rich but the people are not. Most Americans for example are 1 paycheck away from the street...and if you’ve got over a few grand in savings your doing better than most. The distribution of wealth is a sad joke.

/Standard of living is very high so am wondering how they are able to survive./ Who told you that there is a high standard of living? If for the majority even dentistry develops. It is generally impossible to rent a 2-room apartment for a simple salary.

DFID is UK based and give financial assistance to projects in third world countries worth millions of $. British gov't should help its homeless people first before others. Surprised to know numerous homeless people in a first world country.

A lot of these poor souls, say they lost there homes because they couldn't pay rent, I feel the government should take some responsibility, in the past if people were on benefits there rent would be paid direct to there landlord, but since this hair brain change, giving responsibility to people who have problems with drink or drugs to pay there own rent is proving an increasing problem. If governments take back responsibility of rent being paid direct, these peoples problems may not dissappear overnight but they would maybe still have a roof over there head, it's just a thought
