Another thing this helps with is if you are loading stuff up on your Camry that cant fit in the trunk and cant buckle the belt.. already happened to me twice. Not everyone likes the super loud chime this car makes. So just try to understand from personal experience
are you slow? the ding only happens when you DON'T have the seatbelt on. Therefor, if your car's seatbelt alarm is dinging, that means you're not wearing your seatbelt. dude just put on your seatbelt @@phoenixmyers2933
I had a 2018 Camry SE I just traded it for a 2021 XSE I love everything about my Camry but that damn seat belt alarm I’m a 52 yr old grown ass woman I know to put my seat belt on I don’t need my car screaming at me to put it on. Only thing I hate about my car is the seat belt alarm
If I had bought my car brand new I would have insisted they disable the seatbelt nag before purchasing. I bought mine used so I had to do it myself. My Ram truck had a hack to turn the engine on and off then buckle/unbuckle 3 times to disable it. Much easier than installing an expensive app.
Grab a spare buckle or two at the junkyard to simply shut the thing up. You'll get a ticket though in town. Don't forget. I permanently disabled mine. One day I'll put a new speaker in there behind the gauges but it doesn't affect the BSM sounds at all. Silence is gold

I agree! I only turned it off for the driver side only! But if i had to cary something in the rear seat i would turn off the chime back there cause of how sensitive it is back there
There's indicator lights on the cluster. I permanently aborted my cluster speaker. I can listen to the radio with the door open. When I'm going down the road I have no more distractions. The beep causes you to look at the wrong things and is dangerous.

For some reason, Nissan Maxima’s don’t beep at you at all but every other Nissan does, I don’t know why probably because Nissan knows it’s a gangster car and hardly any of the people are going to be wearing seatbelts that drive them

Good to know. However, I feel I should point out that most auto fatalities occur within a short distance from home. Make the ding stop, but always wear your seatbelt. Due to no fault of your own, you could have gotten smoked at the intersection, in that 400 foot trip, or on a run to the grocery store.
I always wear a seatbelt, no doubt accidents can happen anytime. I deactivated the chime on the rear seats since my car is the beater so that short grocery trip was unbearable due to how loud and obnoxious it gets

On the carista app it has a list of other compatible devices, i got mine for 80ish but mainly got it for the flexibility it has to connect to other apps that i use for my other cars

@@jalofanclub Actually, I do agree with you for the safety beep sound. But sometime I speak with someone via mobile phone and this beep sound goes through the line. It makes noise to the conversation. that's why. If I can set this function, I may choose 1 beep when I shift the transmission to backward.
@@SwimmingPigeon This is a ridiculous response. Not having the beeping does not mean he or anyone else does not want to wear a seatbelt. People actually do have circumstances where this beeping is annoying. Like driving 3 of my kids and three hockey bags on the seats and hearing that beep non stop because it doesn't understand that the weight is not a person. There are literally dozens of other reasons. I personally don't need an annoying beep to tell me to put my seatbealt on.Troll on somewhere else.
2019 xse -started getting that beeps (doors-moonroof) first day of purchase. And last night lost patience ended up smashed my 2019. Oh what has made me come to this point BEEPING Once Twice softly is fine but I totally can’t stand beep beep beep like someone is dying. Yes it was after taxes, but mine wasnt the super loaded XSE.i got the i4 w/o the moonroof and not the v6. if you looking to get one make sure that yours has the vanity mirror lights! On the sun visor (Mine didn’t come with that 😭) Dont be nervous remember to not let emotions get to you and buy something that has a high interest.!!! Make sure to negotiate! You got this! 💪🏼
sometimes even a small amount of weight in an unoccupied passenger seat causes it to go off. I usually wear my seat belt(if Im in a vehicle that has them, most vehicles prior to 1965 model year don't have any seatbelt whatsoever, and only lap belt until around 1970), but I really don't need a deafening buzzer to make me wear it. If I'm just driving in a field I usually don't, but if I'm on a highway I usually do(as long as the vehicle I'm driving has seat belts). I don't think the presence of a buzzer has ever caused me to wear a seat belt when I wouldn't have otherwise.
Some people are so lazy they rather disabled something that was made to help you remember that safety is first than to shust put it on .If you get used to the seat belt you might be able to see your love ones after an accident

The newer vehicle chime is deafening. I have 2 other older Toyotas and it's not obnoxious. Just want to drive down my long driveway to get my mail without the damn thing going off.
I don't believe its Toyota, more so like a fresh hot coffee that says "HOT MAY CAUSE SEVERE BURNS" for liability reasons and government regulations. 😅😅 obviously people know about seatbelts and yes sometimes wvwn people that wear them forget but this is too damn much and should be disabled easily... i mean there are states where over 18 you dont have to wear one and it shouldn't go off in a parking lot. I drive from my place to the dumpster and it goes off. Im not putting on my seatbelt to drive 10mph to the damn dumpster and back🤦♂️
