5 years later and you are still helping us folks...thank-you! I have two nice 1969 truck doors if anyone needs them. I bought them thinking they would fit my panel truck but they don't. :( I'm in Ohio.
Man did I need your channel. I’ve got 10 of these trucks. Just want to build a couple nice ones. The 67 thru 72 are pretty common in my area . Most are pretty ratted out, so you need a lot of parts trucks. I’m really in need of a short box for 67 c10. Get ready for a lot of questions
I wouldn’t have been able to get this apart on my 70 without this video. Not knowing about that notch for the roller would have caused much cussing and frustration! Thanks.
excellent video, just guided me to remove the hardware i needed out of a very crusty pair of doors with good glass and latches. lots of lube and a hand impact driver were a must! thanks!
Awesome video, very detailed, shows every little thing, and little trick to take these apart. Came here after watching LMC's failure of a video that expects you to be a former chevy factory worker who already knows every single in and out. LMC fail. Tremaynes Trucks for the win!
Thank you very much helped me out alot the person that build my truck put the old regualators on and the window would not roll down this helped me to do mine saved me alot of money was about to take it to a shop thanks again.
Very very well done video! Didn’t have to hear about a bunch of shit that doesn’t pertain to the dissembling of a 67-72 C- SERIES. Pickup! Don’t mean to sound like an Ass, it’s just the other day I watched a 20 minute video with 20seconds of actual usable information! Pertaining to a 700r4. But I left there knowing his assistant doesn’t put his thins/tools back where he found them! His sister is married to this man and they are currently trying to have a baby or was it trying to have a divorce cause he doesn’t put anything back!…. but ok enough. You get the poing
What’s that gasket attached to the glass and the window regulator slide holding the glass at 6:35... I broke my driver glass and my gasket holding the window it self in the rail is dry rotted. Need to order a replacement but can’t find what gasket or part number that is. Didn’t come with the gasket kit I ordered either.
It's called glass setting tape. The Car and Truck shop has it for 50 cents a foot. Depends on the thickness of your window, but I recall mine fit snug with .047 thickness. Thicker was impossible to get the window in the track. Some local glass shops also carry it. Buy a few thicknesses and try it em out, it's cheap.
Most likely the latch is stuck. Try to spray some lubricant on the latch if possible, maybe from the window opening down, and have someone tugging on the handle while you push the door from the inside. Be careful not to push in the middle of the door or kick it because it will dent, push at the back of the door. I give them a few good shoilder hits. Once you get it open remove the latch, clean and lubricate it. I recommend WD 40 Gel Lube
