Loving the tunes guys. NZ is so stunning, i went for a 2 week holiday in 89 stayed 4 yrs. Hunting, tramping, skiing, farm life. Even learnt to fly there, many hours around the sth island. Tramped 2 weeks around Stuart Island, place was amazing. This bought back a flood of great memories, cheers 🍻. Awesome job rescuing that 🐎 👏👏👏👏

That was heart in the mouth stuff watching Keelan freeing the horse. I'm sure you understand (or Sarah does) just how dangerous that was - if that horse had have panicked! Well done on getting him out. I hate ringlock, horses shouldn't be anywhere near it! Well done, you may well have saved that horse's life. xx Kerryn

I don’t think I took a breath the whole time either haha sarah knows horses very well and I knew how dangerous it was too! High respect for horses! the horse was thrashing around a lot so we had to calm it down first! I think it knew we were trying to save it! Thanks Kerryn!! 🤙🏽🍻

You two are so brave doing this trip in winter! You would have such a different experience in summer. 😎☀️Otago is beautiful and warm with sunlight till 10.30pm. You would find eating cheaper with seasonal veggies/fruit so much cheaper and farm stalls on the roadside. It would be a completely different holiday.

Glad you helped the cast horse. It's almost impossible for them to get up when stuck close to a fence like that. You did the right thing but grabbing the front and back legs closer to the fence makes it easier to turn them over. Well done!

Always carry tyre dog turds and compressor. Even have some in my road bike and mini compressor. Have saved me and others a few times. Work a treat

If it hadn't got to its feet... well, need I say more 🙏 You did manage a surf, fix a tyre while your gorgeous girl hid under a towel to make sure you were safe and filmed! Good job with the little horse, guys. Could have gone a lot worse for all three of you. I’ve been using those tyre plugs since about 1980. People will say they are only good until you get em fixed “properly “. I’ve driven for years on end on plenty of those plugs and NEVER had a failure. Stay warm. 😊

Can relate with the puncture over there. We went for a holiday over there with two other families we were all in motor homes, 2nd night in and we had some locals put some Z nails under our vans we had 3 flat tyres and one of our friends had two. We were stuck on the side of the freeway for like six hours.

You guys are going to take about a month to thaw out. We went as a family back in 2009 and it was expensive then. But , i would go back in a heartbeat. It is so beautiful. That’s why I don’t eat oysters, reminds me of snot. When you go up through kaikoura try the fresh crayfish and make a sandwich of it. Be the dearest sandwich ever but omg awesome. Not nice those icy winds. Keep warm and enjoy the experience. Find the hot pools to thaw out in. 😃

Another awesome video guys. Amazing music choices too, especially for the first lot of drone footage, which again was spectacular! Really liked that music. Where did you get it from? We took our little camper van out last night for only the 2nd time ever, and had a bad experience with inconsiderate campers, so came home, but coincidentally, we also got a flat tyre on the van! Ours was a tear or cut in the inner side wall, so not repairable, but we got it changed anyway.

thanks legend! so its from epidemic sound! We have a monthly subscription which means we can download and use there songs! ohhhh noooo! Sounds like a uncomfortable time if you have bad neighbours! no way sounds like you got you horror trip out of the way haha

Good vid guy’s. Plugs are good but I thought you would keep a bottle of goop or slime handy Keelan, I bought a decent plug kit 18yrs ago and still haven’t used it, I have found sliming flat tyres has kept me out of trouble for most flatty’s and slow leaks, I have had a number of Tek screws I haven’t even bothered removing on some occasions as they didn’t seem to even lose much pressure over a month of continuous checking before I put in a few more psi. Love ur series & adventures guy’s. Cheers

Interesting video, the Invercargill area reminds me allot of Scotland, way too cold for surfing! They also have a large great white shark population that hangs out around Stewart Island, just off Invercargill, so it wouldn’t surprise me if there were a few around the beaches of Invercargill itself. It would be interesting to see a video comparing your experience in your smaller pop top van you use in Oz, to the larger full height van you are using in NZ. I imagine there would be quite a few people out there weighing up the pro’s and con’s of pop top versus non pop top, and small versus large. It looks like you have allot of home comforts in your larger van, but it looks challenging to tow around everywhere. Great vid, you must be looking forward to get back to Oz and some warmer weather!

Gday! Firstly great comment! Lots of good points in here! Never too cold for surfing though haha 😂 I was worried about the black and white submarines whilst I was out there! Especially because there were sealions there which would be a tasty snack for a white! For sure mate we are going to make a video in detail pop top vs full van! Few people have asked for that one! 100% looking forward to it! Getting a snowboard in the next few days and then we get on a plane home! Cheers

Nope, it's a Fur Seal. Not a Sea Lion.. I don't think we have Sea Lions in Australia either. Got heaps of Fur Seals in Tassie, they're big buggers when you're beside them underwater, eh

Thanks you! Sarah helped a lot in terms with experience! Typically I’ve always respected horses almost to the point of fearing them! Sarah helped a lot! Like I said I’m pretty stupid and will try save anything even if it wants to kick me in the face! Sarah grew up jumping horses so I trusted her advice and was more concerned about the big black horse behind me thinking I was hurting it’s friend!

Yes still cool, as ex farmer you were on to it when cows were in that position grab both bottom feet when trying to turn animal that way you don’t stretch them , only issue maybe twisted bowel but better than nothing - good job

I would definitely feel vulnerable in your situation. I'm surprised that they didn't supply a basic tool kit with the van and, given that the airbags would need a compressor, why would they not install a junction to an outlet to allow tyre inflation. I heard you call the car Lone Ranger. Have you named the van? If not, what do you think about Sub Urban?

Hey mate, we just didn’t have an air hose! The inflation point is there and all ready to go just no air hose or tyre repair kit! All is well though! Hahaha Lone Ranger indeed haha 😂

Careful with those horses. I met a young woman in my health career who's brain damaged and stuck in an electric wheelchair due to a horse kick while rescuing from a fence

Hey Keelan I have a question..Do you think a temp gauge is necesary for the intsrcooler you put in ...After seeing you do it im booked in guy said you dont really need a gauge because the ranger has a dash livht for over heating anyway and its an extra $550 ....What do you think ?

100% necessary for the transmission in the ranger, the light on the dash will come on once the vehicle has already heated up to the point it’s doing damage to fluids ect, once trans fluids heat up that much they don’t do there jobs and you’ll cook either your trans or torque converter! Very common issue in the rangers too! Nice cars and heaps of power but that’s it’s Achilles heal! Hope this helps

Great effort on the foal, it’s funny how animals know when you are trying to help them🏆🏆 Looks like you were on the road on gypsy day, that’s the day all the share milking contracts change so lots of herds on the roads moving farms No need to worry about killer whales, that’s great white country down there, how was the ice cream headache 😟 We don’t eat much over here it’s too expensive, we just drink😉 it’s much cheaper 😂😂 That’s one down side of MT’s they are susceptible to screws and nails, they will always get you between the tread blocks We had similar experience up Cape York without all the tools and gear I’d normally have, but that’s part of the adventure 👍 Don’t sweat the tsunami’s too much, they’ve been warning us about them for 40 years and all we’ve ever had are good waves Bluff oysters are probably the best oysters in NZ Great to see you’re still having a good time

Thanks mark! Horses are really smart aye, I thought for sure it being a young one it would kick me in the face! It knew 100% i was helping! Even when I was touching its cuts from the fence it would of wanted to kick and make it hard! Hahah I’ve seen some killer whale videos on the internet that are pretty scary haha thankfully I didn’t find out until after that invercargil is like you said great white country haha 😂 coldest water I’ve ever surfed for sure!! Hahaha makes a lot of sense! That’s why every one is so friendly!! Haha 😂 Yeah spewing aye! Sucks not having all the gear with ya aye! I’m sure you felt the exact same way! Bluff oysters are incredible’ ended up getting more with some local red wine was soo good! Thanks for the comment mate 🤙🏽🍻
