Disc Sander
This video will give you some basic information on proper use of the disc sander in the Tyler Metal Shop.
Always wear a face shield and observe the other general work rules in the Metal Shop. Do NOT wear gloves when operating this equipment; they can easily get caucht and draw you in. never sand a part smaller than 3 inches to avoid getting your fingers drawn in, and always kep your part flat on the table surface while grinding, or it could get pinched in the table gab and draw your fingers in.
Don’t use any machinery you have not been cleared to operate by an instructor or the shop technician. Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the shop technician immediately, Never use equipment if you have not been cleared to use, and always ask questions rather than risk serious personal injury, &/or damage to the equipment.
