I’ve made many knives. I would have kept the handle. I will admit my mistake. Very nice work with tools not really conducive to the work at hand. So, double congratulations.

He made it look pretty, BUT . . . No heat treat / tempering and no "S" grind to make the knife slice smoothly. Other than that, it's a nice 'Wall hanger.'
@@patverum9051 Having worked in a steel mill, I can tell you that his grinder used to reshape the blade profile killed all hardening of the cutting edge and that's why I suggested the need to heat treat the blade.

the end result is incredible but I have to ask: what is so special about this blade that you had to put so much work and (obviously) skill to carve that beautiful handle?
Its a restaurant supply quality blade with plastic handles for durabolity. Its trashed and dude did an admirable job repairing it. The handle turned out nice.
fabuleux ! mais tout ce travail ça revient au moins à 300 euros si on le fait pour un client. Donc on fait ça par passion, pour montrer ce qu'il est possible de faire. et là c'est au top .

@@RedRustRestorationle depassement je connaus aussi, mais dans d autres aspects de la vie. C est d ailleurs miraculeux que sous encore en vie. Je revuens de loin. Je ne forge pas mais je suis attentif. J etaus passe voir bargiel a bozoul il forge des sabres damasses dans kes regles de lart. Il en a mele vendu a des japonais. Il m avaur vendu quelques pierres et explique un peu comment affuter mon couteau global. Je ne l ai plus. Mais j ai des moritaka hamono. Shiro kamo, un whustoff, des arcos, des sanelli. Et j arrive a tout bien affuter. Je deplore qye kes gens ne soient pas equipes poyr cuisiner alors que chez arcos on de super trucs pour moins de 30 euros serie colour prof. Ces anes, ils achetent des couteaux en supermarchés ... c est nul. Sinon je suis guitariste amateur compositeur. Et la il y a largement de quoi faire question depassement de soi.

Hermoso trabajo y muy paciente. A modo de sugerencia, dos cosas: El exceso de pegamento lo puedes quitar con algun solvente antes que se cure, despues cuesta mas y corres el riesgo qie rayes la hoja en el intento. Lo otro es, qie como es oara la cocina, selles la madera con algo mas impermeable, cianoacrilato por ejemplo, le das unas 5 a 6 manos y queda perfecto, por que lo digo, por que estaré expuesto a mucja humedad y la madera , al ser orgánica, tiende a acomular patógenos, lo qie es antihigiénico y se tiende a podrir mas rapido . Es solo sugerencia. Me gusto mucho ru trabajo
Hola, @jaimeherreraopazo1352 , muchas gracias por el comentario, te lo tomo 100%, a mí me gusta poner la madera en resina y meter todo en la bomba de vacío, y queda de 10 pero esta vez tuve unos inconvenientes y avance como venía. Muy buena recomendación para el pegamento, si porque un rayón en ese lugar se complica. Muchas Gracias 😊👍 Saludos
