DISCARTED and Rusted Vice - Amazing Restoration
A few words around the old rusted Vice.
Liv Postojna is a Slovenian company that dates back to the year 1954.
I restored the Liv Vice because it is very rare, and small. As it has barely 60 mm wide Jaws.
THE RESTORATION PROCESS
In the vice, I first removed the corrosion by electrolysis, then I completely disassembled it, sanded it and covered the holes with polyester putty.
Followed by application of primer to the spray, and Hammerite Mid Green paints for the final coat.
All screws and jaws I was oil hardened, for the first time I also made something for the channel on a lathe.
After hardening, I also nickel-plated some components.
The last step is to assemble the Vise and end of the video, BEFORE - AFTER.
