Wow! I think this talk was written for me!! Fr Chris, this has got to be your best talk ever (or, at a minimum, in the top three). You explained everything so very clearly and your examples brought everything into focus. We must use our God-given intellect to inform our conscience - a step the secular world chooses to ignore. I have to tell you, after finding your talks on RU-vid and learning the fullness of my Catholic faith, I am experiencing deep peace, joy, and love like never before. As you said, having right attitude is key. My senior quote in my high school yearbook was “it’s your attitude, not your aptitude, that determines your altitude“. Thank you, Father Chris, for your “yes“ to the priesthood. You have touched countless lives through your example and clear teachings. I don’t know where I would be today without you and the Marians. I found Fr Chris Alar & the Divine Mercy channel during Covid & it’s the best thing to come out of that disaster. I’m so thankful that Fr. Chris chose the priesthood. This series has answered so many questions for me & strengthened my faith. I’m Protestant, but I’ve found that Catholicism makes everything about Christianity fit together like a puzzle & makes all the books of the Bible, both old & new, & all the teachings & practices fit together like a glove. It turns all the books of the Bible into the finest, most sophisticated piece of literature even though it was written by different people over thousands of years.

Oh my goodness Fr. Chris.. this is so timely!! When you started talking about when you didn’t properly discern, I just started crying. I also didn’t properly discern before getting married. Now my husband of 13yrs abandoned me for another married woman and filed for divorce. I feel that God is redirecting my path to enter religious life (don’t worry I don’t have kids). I believe that if this God’s will that He will provide a way for me to be a nun through the intercession of Our Lady. Our good Lord just blessed me with a spiritual director after praying for months 🙌🏼 I plan on visiting the shrine in June and I hope to meet you. Thank you for answering God’s call. Your talk reminded me of something that happened 21 years ago. My grandson was 3 weeks old. My daughter was trying to nurse him and he wouldn’t eat. I looked at him and said get in the car. I drove her to the ER, speeding and running ever light. I dropped her off at the main entrance and went to park the car. As I was going in a police officer was coming out and I stopped him and told him I was driving 30 mph over speed limit and ran every light. He asked if it was emergency and I told him I was bringing my grandson in. The blue baby just dropped off? Yes. No problem, I hope everything goes well. My grandson Christian, had RSV. He is now 21. But if we had been any later in getting him there, he would have died. I ran into that officer once since then. He asked about my grandson and I told him oxygen level was 54 when we got there but we made it in time. He said he started praying for him that night. He was glad prayers were answered.

"Lord God, give me the grace to: KNOW You more LOVE You more TRUST You more & SURRENDER to You more So I can do YOUR WILL In All Things." Thank you so much for this perfect Morning Prayer, Fr. Chris!

I'm new to Father Chris and enjoy your sermons. I have started saying the rosary with scripture every day. I was an Italian Catholic and fell away after my divorce. You inspire me to seek God's will. Also to consider "Coming Home". I feel renewed.

Thank you. I needed this. I chose the married life. Now my go to saint is Saint Monica. Of our Blessed Mother, she is my consolation and my guide. Both are mothers and know the hardships and suffering I go through. I cry for my children to come back home. The enemy makes me question everything I did and accuses me. I hear him speak through my children. It causes me great anguish but I surrender to God Almighty my Father. In the name of Jesus. Thanks be to you Lord Jesus Christ. PS thank you for acknowledging that the single life is a vocation. Also, the Litany of Humility...wow, what a struggle to pray. Really opened my eyes to my total lack of Humility and how much work I have to do everyday to strive for it.

I’m not catholic but the first vid that popped up for me about 3 weeks ago was the Divine Mercy and Faustina teaching. And since then I have been listening to you. My prayer has been to know God more. I have felt like I hit a the peak in Protestant teaching but knew there was more. Well Catholic teaching is fulfilling the knowledge that I yearned of God. Really explaining the faith. The vastness of God and His mysteries and the soundness in it doctrine. This was a great video I enjoyed it.

I relate deeply to the struggle you had about your significant other. I discerned in a convent the day after i broke up with a man I wanted to marry.. Moving on can be really hard..I dont want to waste time but i also dont think God deserves emotional infidelity.. but we all will need to let go of everyone eventually at death anyways. Im just dying to the world early. And no one has done more for me than Jesus.

PRAY the Litany of Humility (humility being the antithesis of pride) as part of every routine examination of conscience in preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Also, every time you PRAY “Thy Will be Done” be mindful of when (in pride, or sloth, or anger, etc.) you’ve chosen “My Will be Done” instead and insert those instances of sin into examinations of conscience.

I've received the Holy Spirit many years ago at a Healing Mass. I went down like I took an uppercut from Mike Tyson. But getting the seat of my rear in line with the back of my head with a sense of peace that you can't comprehend is something I'll never forget. That was when my relationship with Jesus really began. It was then I developed a healthy respect for Jesus. On the subject concerning the alphabet soup group, I can only say one thing. If you're so at peace with your preferences, then why must you force me to accept it.

Father, I curiously clicked on this topic because as I was walking home from mass this morning I was singing Hosanna and enjoying our Lord's creation. Suddenly these words surfaced within me "Fear is outside of the will of the Lord, and any such emotions contrary to the Spirit also." Prior to that I was pondering that I cannot be the same again, this year has been different from all of the others. You see I've fully surrendered myself to God. And nothing can separate from the mission he has given, I must die daily to the will of my flesh and clothe myself in Christ.
