Maloriak is worse than you think. The developer intended strat is that we go through 2 cycles of his potions, dealing with 9 small adds in each. He has less than half of the HP he should. No one has the self control to do it that way anymore.

Cataclysm is hands down my favorite wow expansion since vanilla. I didn't play it the first time around (i stopped playing after wrath last time), and Im shocked how much i enjoy cata.

Remember, it’s not post-nerf. It’s pre-nerf hotfixed.

I'm liking Cata. It's nice to re-experience the raids I never got to do or finish back in the day. Since raiding is all I personally care about. Even if it's not the exact same.

Happy to see people realized how good cata t11 is based on comments, in past i played t11 twice on bigger private servers and it was pure blast. Dont see myself getting as much fun as i got from feral druid as off tank catweaving and doing good dps

This video kind of hit hard lol. Since i started in classic ive been in a guild that cleared the highest content. Maybe not full clear by the time this video came out, but we’d be well on our way, with maybe one or 2 bosses left (m’uru and KJ come to mind 😂). But our struggle with burnout during HLK prog ultimately did us in (guild broke up before we even got to the 30% buff). So now in cata, our guild is barely 10 people who stuck around. We full cleared normal both weeks, but we still havent done a heroic boss yet. And no 25man content at all. Cata still fun though. 👍

6:07 also magmaw was bugged (and is hotfixed since june 11th). Magmaw will no longer fall backwards during Impale, preventing players from doing damage.

This has been the best way to play raid wise since classic launch you can be literally anything no real meme specs like before you were kinda restricted couldn’t be a boomie or anything

Didn't bother mentioning Omnitron and Magmaw being bugged. Magmaw decided to faceplant in the wrong direction on half the time on our pulls so we couldn't get a hc kill on the first week. And Omnitron had permanently 3 bosses active at all times.

Im having a blast. My only issue is i cant get in to a progging guild because seems like all 25 man guilds doing so arent recruiting or arent recruiting what i play. I know the tier lasts until october but it doesnt feel good wasting weeks pugging when i wanted to be there progging with a guild 😥. A few others know are kinda in this rut where they wanna raid 25 but cant find a slot anywhere and so were in this purgatory of waiting for the chaff to seperate so we can take their spots 😅

I've often said that T11 is the most under rated tier in WoW history, it didnt have the best of the best bosses but the consistency throughout, lots of various mechanics, and ability to pick your own path through if you get stuck made it an outstanding opening raid tier to an otherwise not fondly remembered expansion!

Good content, Good bosses, well designed difficulty and LOTS of loot. T11 is def the best tier we've had on classic and it is not even close

@WillE I really like the debuff overlay you have on the standard blizzard raid frames. Is that a weakaura or some other addon? It would help me out a lot

from my boomer guild prospective its not that hard to progress just hard to put together 2 full days of progressing.. one 3-4h raid a week didnt seem enough to learn all these without ptr experience

Worth a mention that a lot of these fights are easier on 25 than 10 just due to numbers, buffs/debuffs and battle resses.

A part of me wants to resub for cata, another part of me cba to dedicate that much time into it again... I was gutted to miss Ulduar & ICC, and I love Firelands & Dragon Soul, also I loved Ret & Holy Paladin and Feral bear Druid in Cata.

9/13 at the moment, been enjoying these raids the most out of any classic content. Healing feels really good, the fights aren't overtly long and raiding 10 man is just an actual blast

All I will say is this most people are good enough to do heroics but the problem is they never want to actually figure out how to do the boss

blizz said they were open to changes in cata but are sort of asleep at the wheel instead, delivering the bare minimum

My guild is a group of only PvPers, IRL friends that have been playing together since catas initial launch back in the day. This week we are 11/12 for normals and everyone seems to be having a pretty good time

I feel like 25 man Ragnaros hc in Firelands is going to dethrone the lich king at that difficulty.

Sinestra is the hardest boss by far in this tier. You said it yourself , he's bugged

If you're not sure why you are whipping in a heroic guild raid people haven't been talked to.

We are 9/12 lacking captain planet, sinestra and nef on hc. The bosses so far feel pretty fair and imlike the progress. The big problem is the loot and the time it consumes, i mean the amount is nice, but its overwhelming

As a main healer since vanilla until now, I can say cata was the most fun for healers...

alot of bosses have a nice progression feel, real nice raid tier

I am shocked with the HC Inis... I remembered them at Cata launch... they where fun and you have to actually use stuff like CC or Pet pulls. But we are what... 2 weeks in ? And allready that degenerate playstyle of "just jump into it and pull the current group into the next one" has come.

Maybe its only on heroic but ive always spammed space on nef normal and havent DCd really enjoying this tier though, making progress on heroics

Hard to find a guild to just chill raid with. Normals are fine. Alliance Benediction

I've progressed all the way, with the same guild, since week 1 Molten Core up to the end of TOGC in Wrath, as a healing priest ...then i had to quit weekly raiding because of work :( i come back to the game and...my previous guild now only plays SOD after having killed Lich King, and despite my solid logs, experience etc...i cant find a Heroic raiding guild in cata that either: -isn't GDKP focused -isn't 10man focused -isn't "sign up" based instead of roster based, which i always heavily disliked i've done quite a bit of pugs in Normal, and while BWD's bosses are a joke on normal, some groups really struggle with Nef-Ony also...i don't know what has happened since i left, but Faerlina seems to be now split in half: some people who speak spanish, and some that speak english...so i've been in various pugs where for example the main tank just didn't understand a word of english, and i had to sort of translate to them as best as my italian ass could (italian/spanish are kinda sort of similar, so we can more or less comunicate even when we speak our own languages to each other) Other than this however... heroic dungeons have turned out a complete joke imo

Cata has around half the raiders WOTLK did at launch. It's clearly not that popular.

Thing is mechanically almost every boss in p1 cata is harder than lk the reason lk was hard is because unless you were insanly good and had half a raid of hunters and walocks you wetent going to kill it until yoi reach a certain point of gear you dont have even close to that same issue with a single boss in this phase. Lk wasnt hard it was just improperly scaled its mechanics were braindead easy.

We’ve done everything heroic except Al akir nefarian and the twin dragons on in bastion. We’re not super hardcore but we’re hanging in there

10 man should dropp 3 items you gear so fast in 25 with 6 items and slow in 10 man with 2

Like i said. I think people will enjoy Cataclysm more this time around since Blizzard completely butchered Retail.

I'd love to see a racial shift or "choose your racial". Great for those wanting to play Alliance and want to raid at a higher level & the Horde side wouldn't be completely dead for PvP.

I think its very good, best raiding experience so far when compared to tbc and wotlk.

Cata has logged less than half the players at launch than Wotlk and TBC, I'm not surprised by the clear rates with less overall players. I feel it would be safe to double the kills we see here to get better context comparing them to previous raids. Or organize the data in a 'kill:players' ratio instead. Edit: People, IronforgeGG only counts unique names per week, doing 10 and 25 man only gets you counted once.

"Good numbers in week 2" = Late ulduar and lower than togc numbers on expansion start. lol.

This is gonna kill PUGs and population really fast. 1-2 months the population will have shrunk another -50%. Normals are fine. But if you want do any heroic boss it's just same two gimmicks: 1. BIG RAID DAMAGE EXTRA HEALERS (managable) 2. GETTING ONESHOT (featuring brown/purple/green/yellow fire patch or one missed interrupt.) No amount of gear will change this.

Conclave is an easy F tier boss. There is nothing positive to say about it.

Reliving the bugs and random dcs all over again. What a waste of time this game is.

Magmaw still bugged, turning head the wrong way when chained, every once in a while.

As always, I'm throwing a like before even watching the video.

I do not like the theme of Cata so I am just playing openworld stuff and getting achievements and stuff before MoP. Which I belive is coming. No surprise. Its cool that it is harder but I also feel sad that my favorite expansions TBC and Wrath are such pushovers compared :p I am hoping I like MoP. I missed it the first time but regret it since the expansion looks really good.

Normals are so faceroll boring theyre not satisfying at all. Hard modes there is just so much shit going on and spam everywhere, it also feels unenjoyable. My opinion anyway.

I was a holy priest when this was retail. I want you all to know that I was the last alive and solo'd the last hits on bosses multiple times for kills

This Cata was an absolute miss for my buddies and I… leveling and heroic dungeons are WAY too easy. We aren’t really dedicated or interested enough to get into heroic raiding. So it’s either too easy and boring or too hard and gatekept like crazy. No middle ground… RIP

no boss took us more than 10 pulls without ptr even, while 0% LK took us like 200 with 100 ptr pulls included. so its kinda a landslide and this content is kinda lame

I had to stop watching cause calling any cata boss hard is a joke. They are all ez as hell, if your healers cant cut it they must be clickers or brain dead.
