such a great and unique background for disclosure musics, and their influences are also amazingly combined and adapted on every singles they created. these guys are the future!
lol everyone seems to be hating on disclosure. It took me a while to listen to Settle because ive never really been into house but after finally listening to it a few weeks ago, it's honestly one of the best releases this year. Respect for what these dudes are doing.
Disclosure make the most atmospheric music i've heard, shame they went all mainstream but at the same time they deserve it, the media hasn't fucked them up just yet.
Jordan Mackenzie lol they didnt go mainstream the mainstream just caught on. their album came out like a solid year or two before their hype and they havent changed anything. havent even released anything.
the dilla orchestra is one of the only times i got the cd of something over the vinyl just cos you get the dvd of the hole performance with the cd version R.I.P. JAY DILLA
Mongloid That's not true not all Americans. I'm an american and I completely agree. They're being real and shouldn't be judged on their own music tastes.
Most of the comments on here are pure hating for no reason other than you seem to enjoy it... Let these two do their thing, worry about your own life. Good for them.
Funny some of the negative comments in here. I suspect it's from overweight, single, 30 something males who have just finished a 12 hour shift at the factory.
The song is "That's The Way Of The World"...to die hard EWF fans, it's our national anthem. It was that album which launched their iconic and now legendary career, which is at 45 years now (the last 3 original members are STILL touring and doing VERY well). If you can get that album on vinyl, DO IT. It's pretty much a collector's item. Enjoy! Peace & blessings be upon you & yours.
I watch every episode whether I like the people doing them or not. Sometimes it gives them respect on my part or, in this case, just makes me dislike them even more than I already did. Either way, the show is a great way to discover records I may not know about.
John Jackson I'm exactly the same with you, I don't really like these guys. But I still watch every episode of this because it's interesting to see what some of these people like too.
How come you even have to skip them then? What has put them in your tracklist to begin with? Sure, I like "Can I Kick It", but I don't see why I would dislike someone who didn't.
Other than Earth, Wind and Fire their picks were bullshit... What the hell am I doing judging what other people pick up at a record store? Am I becoming joe squat?
The guy on the right seems like a bit of a muppet, I suppose him skipping 'can I kick it" doesn't help my impression of him. Some of their picks were dope though
What is up with males picking up stuff like Alicia Keys and Erikah Badu. Never seen that shit in my life until this new generation started getting all soft. A lot, and I mean a lot, of new acts lack edge and now I know why.
+cactaceous Erykah Badu's got more edge than you could handle. But she is jazzy and emotional and funky and a woman which is all pretty soft I guess. I hope there's a cultural shift and men can go back to being the macho dudes you so crave.
