Elijah Wood has the most eclectic and musically interesting picks of any other episode I've seen, the man is obviously musically inclined , at the very least in the sense that he understands that good music transcends specific styles and genres. 1:35 - I'd get that just for the cover alone, but it seems it's not available on iTunes, let alone in my area's only remaining record shop.

I always love Elijah Wood! He's just so down-to-earth and I've been really obsessed with him when I was in high school. He looks so handsome with his sweet blue eyes.

First Step was actually the debut by Faces not Small Faces. The US versions confusingly had Small Faces on the cover when Steve Marriott had already left for Humble Pie and been replaced by Stewart. Found that quite interesting

I really agree with what he said about how listening to digital music is almost schizophrenic in a way and that we don't really pay attention. I've only collected records for the last year and a half or so but it really changes how I listen to music. If somebody asked me about a band that I've only listened to online, the best answer I could give them is that I like them or I don't. When I put a record on, that's when I am really listening and it is committed to memory. Oftentimes, digital music just falls to the background for me with the rare exception when I repeat a song for like 5 hours (happens more often than I'd like to admit!). This is a really old video but I felt like commenting anyways:p

I'm a fan of Elijah, as an audiophile. I saw a photo of him in front of his system one time, he had Klipschhorn speakers with Mcintosh gear, very cool.

I've always respected Elijah since I saw him at a WEEN show it the Fillmore in SF around 1999-2000.

I dig how hes one of the few people on this show who admitted to saying i have no idea what this is, but it looks neat so lets give it a shot.

wow!! I've really got to check out that soviet funk...just that little clip that was played during this interview was enough to wet my whistle. sounded jazzy and funky as hell and I look forward to having a deeper listen. and the small faces are brilliant too.

Per the Raincoats: Ingrid Weiss was the drummer for the Raincoats. Her 3 children with husband Graeme Durham, are a great little group called Kitty, Daisy and Lewis. Nice to see that someone is still interested in the Raincoats.
