The artwork makes this game, it's such a special vibe. Especially the main loading screen. I bought a digital drawing pad just to try to figure out how it's done and went down the rabbit hole of color theory, old oil paintings, Francis Bacon, William Turner, Edwin Blashfield and so on. I'm no art critic but if it moves you it moves you, right.

I could listen to the ZA/UM devs talking about stuff for hours. Any chance there will be some more developer videos? Post-Mortem? Explaining difficult things that may now seem obvious and polished but were not easy to get right? I love this sort of stuff. :D

So you made the map in 3D in blender, then rendered it as different maps, painted over it to give it the paint look and then imported all of it into the engine as a 2D sprite but with depth and height information so it integrates well with 3D models?? It blows my mind, I thought they were just hand painted textures on a 3d map.

The artstyle of the game is masterpiece! Stylized/Handpainted style > any AAA-game hyper-realism style. But that just my opinion.

I am really fucked of right now day 5 of playing this game what kind of fuckery is this I have highly enjoyed playing this game and now oh boy oh boy oh the abyss opens an Sony or more fuckery corrupts my save file No not good anuff this game is a masterwork but I am now uninstalling it mabey one day I will return but for now I feel am just drowning in bodily fluid silent with the entity's of Sony standing behind me smileing
