I usually never agree with Disco, this segment was 100% on point. This was great.

I remember Vince being a cheater in story line and as a child thought art imitated life. I also looked a Linda and thought of Bill and Hillary. Because Bill and Vince similar in a powerful charismatic way. I also think Linda reminds me of Hillary because of their styles and silent stand behind character.

This kind of thing doesn't just happen in wrestling. I personally knew, about employees at my old job..that had been favorable due to performing "extra work" for our boss. It's crazy but it's proof of how corrupt the 🌎 we live in.

The whole dirt sheet, 5 star match mentality is a cancer on professional wrestling. Yes pro wrestling needs good matches, it needs good workers. But those things alone will not carry the sport forward. Do we go to concerts to see bands because a band has a technically perfect guitar player? No. Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards, Slash, Kirk Hammett, Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl. Some of those guitarists had some technical proficiency but they all produced music that made people feel something. Watch some of the footage of the historic performances by Hendrix or Cobain. Under a microscope, one will notice missed notes, guitars not in perfect tune etc. But they created music by feeding off the crowd. Those good workers are like the drummers in a band. Keeping the beat in a song while the guitar player improvs, and feeds off the crowd. A good example would be the heydey of WCW nitro. Everyone loves to talk about NWO, which was great. But what is often overlooked how they folded in outstanding matches with guys like Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, Harlem Heat, among others. This is not to minimize those guys contributions, but to highlight how important they were if you look at a wrestling tv program as a whole.

My frie ds and me talked about promos and moments. I think early nitro era blended all the things that make a great wrestling show including having Japanese wrestler like great muta come in. Pro wrestling has no balance. All forms of popular entertainment have hardcore fans and more casual fans. I'm a lifelong Batman fan. There are multiple villains that I think would be fantastic as the main villain of a movie. WB/DC keeps picking The Joker. Why? They're trying to appeal to the largest audience possible, but he will pull in hardcores too. Wrestling needs balance again; a show that could work for hardcore and casual fans. WWE has told the hardcore audience to F off and AEW has absolutely no interest in casual fans. Until there's a balance, wrestling will be stuck with a split audience problem.

Ill give credit to Disco. I normally dont. But respect to disco for talking about this. Its funny watching the normal talking heads disappear on this subject or gloss over it. The wrestlers who never say anything bad about WWE just disappear.

I love a good match as much as anyone, but I agree with Disco here. I have seen thousands of matches in my life. No matter how good the match is, I have to care enough about the people involved to give a damn. There is no wrestler in the business today who is good enough to make me care simply by having matches. I don't care about any of these "dream matches" in AEW, because at the end of the day it is just another match, unless I have a reason to care. To me, I would rather see a bad match with two people and a feud that I care about than to see a great match that is cold as ice with no buildup.
