I'm not racing to get any of these, but thanks again for alerting us that Lancome Hypnose for Men was getting cut! I'd been sitting on the fence for nearly two years and you pushed me off! Grabbed the last bottle they had at Fragrance Net.
Bought The Cachemire at $220 and panicked bc it is one of my favorites, but I have plenty left and with the higher prices, and I cannot justify it. I must vote with my wallet and not let my emotions get the best of me. Hope you all do the same. Balada Sauvage is also great BUT not $330 great. A little sad to see some of these that revived the brand getting the ax, I do have good memories of these starting my fragrance journey
Contrary to popular opinion, I think Spice Blend is on a whole other level compared to Spice Bomb as if one claims that BR540 is the same as Cloud. I really enjoy wearing it and I'm sad that it's now discontinued. Balade Sauvage is my favourite fig-centric fragrance... And I adore Feve. What a sad day...
Some fragrances should never get discontinued in my opinion! They can release them in limited batches...But, I feel if the fragrance community views a creation as a true masterpiece - That would be Fève Délicieuse in this case - it should live on as long as the brand exists! This is sad to me...very sad.
@@ThePerfumeGuy Exactly. The last price increase was the line for me. Especially with "mid-tier" niche houses being competitive and producing quality fragrances, these designer exclusive collections seem to be more and more simply about conspicuous consumption than anything. Why would I buy a 250ml bottle of Dior for 450 bucks, when I can go on a discounter and get Amouroud bottles for $90, or a new bottle of Hacivat for $125?
Listen... i am TIRED of Dior and their tyranny lol. Why do they keep making these terrible decisions, and why do they seem to always and only inflict them on the US?! Seems also like Francis K . might be cleaning house as well... This makes me so upset!😤
Balade Sauvage was the best on the fresh side by far. Honestly, LVMH is damaging Dior’s image terribly. I would rather any Chanel instead of any from the Privée Collection line anyway, so… yeah. Worst brand management by far.
In France, Vetiver, Mitza, Belle de Jour, New Look 1947, Patchouli Imperial, Leather Oud, Grand Bal, Terra Bella, The Cachemire are discountinued for sure. I have a bottle of Vetiver, Mitza, Patchouli Imperial and The Cachemire. I tryed to find Leather Oud but can't find it at any boutique in Paris... I talked to a Dior sales associate taht confirmed those dicontinations but no talks about Feve Delicieuse that is her perfume and Balade Sauvage neither.
Hold on. I thought FK did the original Eau Noir in 2004. Then Demachy did a reformulation (still green) after he arrived (which dialed down the curry spice & coffee and dialed the lavender WAY up). And then FK re-did it again when he returned (the yellow). Or did I just dream that?
I found out that Happy Hour was being discontinued when I was visiting Paris back in March. I do like this one a lot, but didn't feel like I needed a backup bottle of this.
I got a big bottle 250ml of Feve last year of course thanks to your recs. I’m glad i did, now that the news of it being discontinued is here, at least in the States.
I'm one of the few who can't stand FD. It's an instant headache to me, but I still see why other people would like it. The huge shock to me is Ballade Sauvage. One of my favorite scents.. now I'm thinking I need a backup.
I get so many compliments with spice blend! I'm so sad 😢 That one's upset me quiet a bit to be honest. But feve deliciouse is a gorgeous gourmand. Dior is heading in a direction I don't like. Ow well... Less money for me to spend I suppose
I'm wearing FD today. I have less than half of the 8.5 oz bottle left and I'm REALLY contemplating repurchasing it. I'm actually hurt that it's getting discontinued.
Well done for keeping going through your illness. Personally I think as you said Dior produced a load of fragrances 2010-20 and they probably did sit under the radar a little. The good ones are still around and I think will last.
I thought Fève Délicieuse was already discontinued. At least here in Dubai it's never on display. You only get it when you ask and they either pull it out of their warehouse, or pull it out of some drawer.
Yeah that one was totally confusing. It actually disappeared for a bit then came back here in San Francisco. But I think it could have been due to Neiman Marcus filing for bankruptcy but uncertain. But now it's official. Sad! :(
CHEVAL BLANC PARIS-Does anyone know about this? I never smelled this one and cannot find it on the Dior or Fragrantica site or much information about it.
I can't believe they're discontinuing Feve! And it sold out so fast on the site! Luckily I found a bottle slightly used and was able to purchase it for a decent price.
Thank God I bought a big Fève Delicieuse in Paris , last February 😅 I only have a Gris Dior small bottle and Ambre Nuit is on my wishlist .😊 I enjoyed your video as always , Sebastian 😀 I wish your flu goes away as soon as possible ! Regards from Portugal 🇵🇹
I am still looking for the Feve Delicieuse. I'll be in Paris next week, hoping to maybe find a bottle. Does anyone know what would be the best store to go or where to find online?
I hope your recovery will accelerate in time to feel great for your trip. Don't push yourself faster than your natural recovery time! Today in a duty free shop I sniffed six things you've spoken about: Hermes Eau d'Orange Vert, Ombre des Merveilles, Un Jardin Sur La Lagune, Un Jardin a Cythere, and Dolce&Gabbana The One, both the EDT and EDP. Wow, what an intoxicating whirl of impressions! If I had to pick two that I'd shell out the $$ for, it would be The One EDP (I finally have to come down in favor of the more "mature" air), and Ombre des Merveilles. But BOTH the Jardins are, yes, truly intoxicating. Frankly, I want them ALL eventually (except I don't need The One EDT if I have the EDP). My experience in duty-free today made me admit to myself that I'm hooked on this for good. I just have to be seriously frugal and gradual about it. BTW, of these six the one I can most easily walk away from DESPITE an initially intoxicating blast is the Eau d'Orange Vert. The first moment was truly transporting, like "Wow, I wanna wear this for life!"...and then it just kind of evaporated into nothingness. So, no. Funny thing about the two Jardins, I really love them but, strangely enough, they kind of give you the impression you don't want so much to smell like them yourself but smell them on somebody you're in love with. But, yeah, I still want to have them.
Seems to me like the are gearing up for another relaunch with their new perfumer. Excited to see what direction they end up going. It’s been all quiet for a while. Hope you feel better soon.
I can see why. Not very interesting fragrances, according to me. New Look 1947 is the exception but it’s performance sucks. I find Dior disappointing in general. Watery and not very unique fragrances. Presentation is fantastic, I think that is why they are popular.
I've also heard Patchouli Impérial, a Middle East exclusive and my personal favourite, was being discontinued. This was announced within months of Francis Kurkdjian joining Dior. But I still see it everywhere here in Dubai that carries the Dior PRIVÉE Collection. So 🤷🏽♀️
I have a bottle but that was part of the original line up from the early 2010s. I bought it when my Neiman Marcus associate told me. Might be a Middle East exclusive now but they still sell it in the Paris shops. So could be pulled and only selling at a few doors. Uncertainty with a lot of these fragrances.
The Privee collection should be an opportunity for Dior to be bold, daring and creative. However, most of the collection is bland, mass-appealing crap. Francois Demachy probably threw these together during his lunch break (it is clear that nobody's soul went into the creation of these fragrances). Save for Leather Oud, all of these fragrances deserve to be discontinued. My only complaint is that they didn't go further and discontinue more from collection. Hopefully Francis Kurkdjian will make wholesale changes and create a collection that is truly niche. I doubt it.
Thats a sad news 😢 my balad suavage very low and hope fully can replenish. But sadly feve and tobacco Dior doesn't sell in Singapore so never get a chance to smell. 😢😢😢😢
Surprised they’re discontinuing one of their most popular, Feve Delicieous. They’re getting rid of all of their heavier, denser fragrances and leaving behind boring, lighter ones instead.
Thanks for sharing---I hope all is well. As with you, I'm most disappointed by the discontinuation of Feve Delicieuse and Balade Sauvage, so hopefully these are only partially or temporarily unavailable. Balade Sauvage especially still seems to be a bit underappreciated as a unique fresh fragrance, but perhaps that's why it's being knackered. I'm really shocked by Feve, which seems to have a heck of a following.
Fève délicieuse is my perfume 😢in my opinion it’s warm, truly delicious and with the mint at the beginning there is a good balance I have a bottle and it’s my signature perfume.
If it is still available in France, we cannot say that it is discontinued!! We can only say if it is true that it is no longer available in the USA. But it is easy to be delivered from France!!
THate that you are still sick. I hope it passes soon. Regarding the fragrances, I mentioned before that I haven't had the chance to smell any of the Prive collection yet. This breaks my heart because Feve Delicieuse was at the top of my list of them to try. I thought they were pricey before, I bet they are going to be truly ridiculous now.
If true, thankfully bought a backup big bottle of Feve when I was in Paris last year. Between the two bottles I have, I should never run out. But wish I had bought a backup of Miztah. Though, unlikely I run out of that one either given the size of my collection.
Love FD very sad if it is true but also love spice blend i understand that it remind people of spicebomb but still very diffrenet from it. Very happy to own both of them
Eau Noire is definitely reformulated. The licorice is less pronounced for sure. I actually still quite enjoy it , and think F.K did a good job, even if it's missing that magic from the old version. Leather Oud is the one that has changed the most and that's really sad. Great, informative video as always.
