Dre did sampling better than anyone else. He always actually enhanced the record and the mix/sound quality is hella crispy. Dope. My favorite hip hop producer all time. A definite inspiration to me. West coast baby!

Mike Jones most samples are that a sample. They take mostly 20 secs at best and loop that. Heck when I practice sampling I sample mostly 5 sec loops of a bass line or jazz riff.

I was just saying that when i was younger like 13 or so that they made there own beats and that DJs were the ones that mixed the old with the new . Im 28 now and im fully aware of the way it is and fully appreciate it

Growing up in L.A. it was backwards for me. They would play the current hits in the day time and the oldies at night and the weekend. So when I was a kid I thought the originals ripped off rap.
