Been listening to Rakim bless the mic since I was 16 years old! I’m 51 now and up to today no one is quite like the God emcee! He came on the scene and changed how the art form was done. He has influenced more people than anyone I believe. He will always be #1 to me!

@ Maurice Hyde Rakim will forever be the #1 emcee. Nas is the #2. I was about 18 or 19 years old when I first heard about Rakim. I'm 53. I seen Eric B and Rakim in concert at the Omni in Atlanta in 1988. This is when they had the "Follow The Leader" album.
