I bleed both rears at the same time. But i also remove as much of the fuid out of the reservoir before i bleed, then refill with brake fluid before i crack open the calipers. That gets rid of the old fluid faster.watch your fluid level in the master while doing this. Then do the fronts the same way. Gets rid of the old fluid and air easily.

If I changed both front calipers and pads, should I not do a gravity bleed? Do an actual pedal pump type bleed?

Some are against pedal bleeding depending on the type of caliper seals. Regardless if you need to pedal bleed, have the person pumping the brakes put one foot (toes) behind the pedal so it doesn't drop completely to the floor. Corvette Dan.

I have since pedal bled my car after swapping the master and adjusting the booster rod. You should be OK. Corvette Dan

Hey great video, can you confirm that your test drive after this process gave you the results you expected? Just asking because you expressed some scepticism yourself at the beginning. I've pump bled my brakes several times using a tube kit that is supposed to keep air from being pulled back in. Brakes still not right. All new parts involved. I'm going to try the gravity feed. The whole process gets old fast when you go through it all and don't get the results you want. Sorry I just had to get that little rant in there. Cheers!

Thanks for watching. As it turns out, my issue was more than this. I had a bad master & the booster rod wasn't properly adjusted. With that, I have a video coming tonight showing how to bench bleed a master and an installation of that master coming on April 9th. We ended up doing a traditional pump bleed. If you have the car jacked up when you take the top off the master cylinder it would spill over a bit for not being level. Is it best to drain some out first to keep that from happening? Then when finished top off the master cylinder on level ground.
