Picked one up in November. Very pleased so far. Glass is surprisingly clear. Haven't gotten to see how accurate their battery life claims are but so far it seems good
Awesome - glad you’re digging it so far. Like you I haven’t had much time to make a claim on the battery, time will tell. One of the best bangs for your buck when it comes to red dots imo. Comparable to my Sig and vortex. Thanks for the comment - I appreciate you being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Nice review, been thinking of getting one for my dad. Is it hard to remove the battery cover? Can you use a flat head to remove it or do you need that tool?
Thank you! That would certainly be a cool gift - battery cover isn’t difficult to remove. Yes, you could use a flathead to take it off although it may mar up the finish a tad. Hence why I believe they included that plastic tool…but you have options. Taking the battery cover off was pretty simple - you’ll hold the rotary knob in place and use the included tool or flat head to unscrew it. I appreciate your kind words and for being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
It’s not uncommon - I’ve seen it with numerous optics(brands), you’ll find a balance point where it’s bright enough but not “star bursting/flaring.” Thanks for the question! I appreciate the comment and for being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
I bought it & it is the most disappointing dot I have. Doesn't hold zero. Both dials have the same directions, both say UP going counterclockwise & both dials adjust the dot up or down. Neither adjust for windage or left / right. The dot has a tear drop. After a few weeks of working with it & never creating a 2" group with several types of ammo, I contacted Holosun, thry were very little help. I gave it to a buddy. My buddy worked with it for a while, had the same issues & he hated it & got rid of it.
That’s a real bummer man, I’m surprised Holosun didn’t take care of it. I haven’t personally had to use their warranty yet, hopefully I don’t run into that issue. Duly noted. Thanks for the comment and feedback, I’ll keep that in mind!
Poor man’s Aimpoint T1; won’t do what an Aimpoint will do but it’ll for $150. (* see Sig Romeo 5 series) Not a “ go to war” optic but if you’re backwoods shooting a feral hogs and drop it , you would have to drop it on a very big rock or of at an indoor range you’d have to slam it on the concrete floor to break or damage it- no one who cares about their firearms is going to “ accidentally” do that
I hear ya man - long as it gets the job done and you’re happy with it, is all that matters. I appreciate the thought and comment, thanks for being part of the squad. Be safe and stay vigilant 🤙🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸.
@@173rdA Pretty wild to say the least, although I’m sure they’re happy to get their hands on whatever they can at this point. Holosun has some solid products and certainly has made a name for themselves. Thanks for the comment!
@@VPTACTICALif I can find the video I will link it if I can. It’s one of CivDiv’s videos. Thanks for the review. I just bought this red dot yesterday. Haven’t opened it yet but I’m going to Saturday.
