I like this format because I feel like it’s less jaded and more passionate. Nice job!

luvin the new direction!, I was getting tired of the nike dunk hype videos of a late, the new direction for the channel is the beauty of "the casual" Japanese/fashion with your "own" personal style from the eyes of REGGIE the pro! luving it man!

Great video...!! I'm Japanese, but I have learned from you very much. You have your own style and at the same time, you have an objective point of view. And you know the real history of Japanese fashion. I'll always be your fan and support you.

Been to Tokyo twice and I made sure I spend 90% of my waking hours outside and I recognise every single shot you took. Missing Japan so badly smh. You should take us through yoyogi hachiman, imo one of the most beautiful areas for photoshoots + hidden gems + train crossing ambiance. Went there for Little Nap and ended up spending 6 hours wandering munching on bakeries from next door, fkin bliss

I have a suggestion: when you mention certain places, like Shimokitazawa, etc, you could display the name in kanji (and kana) at the bottom of the screen. Then I could pause the video and write that down.

THIS IS THE CONTENT THE STREETS NEED!!! I was in Osaka earlier this year. Recently just came back from Tokyo last month for vacation. The Evisu store in Daikanyama is like heaven for me. I'd love to see more exploration into your favorite stores that sell the best Japanese denim!

Hey Reggie! I just left Japan today and during my trip to the Harajuku area I actually saw you perusing the Onitsuka Nippon Made store! Was going to say hi but you were speaking with someone. Anyway you should definitely do a video on Shimo-kitazawa in the future! Maybe explore how second-hand stores operate in Japan!

great video! and I have been enjoying the recent videos too. Nice to see the channel back to what it does best. This is the channel I recommend as a rite of passage to friends heading to buy clothing in Japan. This channel has helped me to be informed and expand my curiosity to explore more brands I am less familiar that will hopefully be covered in the future.

One thing I wonder is whether prices for secondhand are higher in Harajuku than in other places in Japan. Is there more of a markup? But I guess, for example, that if certain items are for sale online as well as in the store, they'd have to be in line with similar online items. I am thinking of Second Street in particular.
@THECASUALco

This is great info to know. While on summer trips to Japan, I never went to Harajuku while in Tokyo. I wasn't really interested in the traditionally known Harajuku style. But, it's good to now know of other areas within it and hopefully, there will be lots of shops for females, too. While in Japan on 3-week vacations, I was busy with other areas of Tokyo like Omotesando, parts of Shibuya, parts of Shinjuku, even Aichi, and also my long time favorite department stores. Since I always stay in Marunouchi, I was close to Ginza and the areas nearby. Maybe on the next trip, I'll stay 3 days each in 3 different areas of Tokyo to cut down on subway commuting time. It just hit me that I was on Cat Street as I went into Opening Ceremony and bought a pair of sneakers. I didn't realize that that was Harajuku as I thought that it was Shibuya. When I finished shopping the street, I went to the Shibuya subway station and went back over to Marunouchi. I remember shopping in Omotesando and afterwards just roaming the streets and accidentally ended up on Cat Street. Tokyo is like a maze and it's difficult to figure out where one district ends and the other begins. Greetings from Los Angeles

This area was at its peak around 15-20 years ago. Most brands have gone global. Japan is no longer the hub it was.
@THECASUALco
@THECASUALco 10 месяцев назад
Not even close to most brands going global. The major ones yes but Japan still has a ton of localized brands doing amazing work and it’s still difficult to get Japanese designers out west. Japan still has its charm it’s just nobody covers the new stuff anymore. They cover the same brands over and over.
@tainanking

@@THECASUALco I mean most of the ones that are well known how about that. My bad on not elaborating because I think most people here aren't OG's or know the most. I was there when they had an Originalfake shop probably back in 2007. I mean with streetwear becoming not as niche, that's just how it goes. I mean Bape getting sold to iT was the icing on the cake.

Hi, There’s so much focus on 2nd hand and street style. Would love if there’s stores and local designers to check out that sells more avant-garde, oversized and Japanese inspired silhouettes, like Yohji, Y3, Rick Owens. Any suggestions!? 🙏🥷
